« Overall the stay was excellent the hosts were amazing and flexible suggesting places to eat for dinner nearby. The breakfast was delicious. Dog friendly but if you don't have dogs, don't worry, there is absolutely no sign dogs have ever been in the rooms, no lingering dog smells etc. I've stayed here twice and on the second stay was in a room facing the road. I'm a light sleeper but wasn't woken by the traffic at all. There's no Aircon in the rooms but you are provided with a fan so be aware if you run hot. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant as we were attending a funeral in the area. « I wish they had let me know when I booked that there is no reception and checking in is virtual. I only found out when I arrived at the hotel. We stood outside for well over 30 min trying to enter details on the app that kept erroring. I called, but it went to voicemail- still haven’t got a call back. It’s a pity as the rooms are pretty. Also to note for those that are light sensitive there are very bright street lights and only shutters on the windows. »

« Absolutely beautiful cottage full of essentials for our stay. The whole setting is stunning with the gardens and surrounding areas. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants close by for food as well as supermarkets to grab snacks for the house. We went to Gulliver’s kingdom 20 mins away and Alton towers 1 hour away across our 2 days stay which were both easily accessible.
