« Really great hotel in a perfect location... Our room was perfect, clean, large & well furnished. Bed, linen & towels all freshly laundered. Evening meal was well presented with lovely fresh local products. The menu and choices were very varied. « My wife and I stayed for just one night. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff and proprietor were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the evening and breakfasted the following morning. The food was good and service efficient, friendly and courteous. Our room was warm and clean and the bed very comfortable. « I attended a weekend conference at this hotel so it was selected for me. The staff were most friendly and my conference was excellent, but the hotel let itself down with ludicrous prices for food and beverages -- and my room had a ceiling of enormous cobwebs (see photo). One glass of red wine and a pint of beer was 13 pounds. The restaurant was full on the evening I arrived so I had to eat in the bar. « Absolutely beautiful cottage full of essentials for our stay. The whole setting is stunning with the gardens and surrounding areas. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants close by for food as well as supermarkets to grab snacks for the house. We went to Gulliver’s kingdom 20 mins away and Alton towers 1 hour away across our 2 days stay which were both easily accessible. There is a wide range of sizes of cottage and homes to choose from all of which looked amazing. »

« The cottage was clean tidy and cozy, exactly what we wanted. The owner was prompt with a response about a travel cot and told us where to find the high chair. Comfy beds, quality towels and bedding. Lovely stay! The small thing is the cottage was on the main road and cars came up and down it fast. You could barely hear it from inside the cottage but getting our kids out of the car was difficult.
