Very well equipped and maintained house. Short stroll to two beaches. Great for kids and adults alike. Lovely patio with a hot tub. Hosts Karen and Neil live next door and are available if there are any issues or questions. We hope to return.

The house is beautiful and fully stocked (even a pot big enough to cook some delicious lobsters!). Karen and Neil were kind and wonderful. We were very grateful to spend out stay in their home and spend time collecting sea glass at the beach down the street!

Wonderful vacation

From the minute we arrived we felt right at home. The owners live next door, so we stopped over to let them know we were there and to get dinner suggestions. They gave us our privacy, but let us know they were there if we needed anything. This was one of the nicest vacation rentals we have stayed in, the house was very clean and nicely decorated. The weather was perfect, we were able to take the kayaks two mornings before heading out for a day of sight seeing. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Nova Scotia.

We had a wonderful stay at this rental home! Communication with the owner was excellent—quick, clear, and very helpful. The house itself had everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to extra blankets, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The teens especially loved the hot tub, which was a highlight after our busy days. We also discovered a fabulous pizza place just 15 minutes away—definitely worth the trip! The home had so much charm and character, making it feel warm and welcoming. We’d happily stay here again!

We just got back from our stay in this magnificent house in East River Point. The house is a fully renovated historic house built in the late 1800s, giving it both charm and full amenities. The upstairs was perfect for our 3 teenage kids to have their own space, and we loved having the full kitchen (stocked with many pantry staples), the comfortable living room with large flat screen tv, and the beautiful outdoor sitting area. We loved using the soft tub after a day of exploring, and had a relaxing evening sitting by the fire. The house had everything we needed for our stay, I've never stayed in a place so fully stocked with extras to make our stay more comfortable. It was a short walk to one of the local beaches, and a 10min drive to two local towns for groceries. Karen and Neil were very responsive to our messages and Karen was lovely to meet. The only sad thing was that we didn't stay long enough and didn't get to spend more time at their property, we will hopefully be back to Nova Scotia someday and stay again at this magnificent rental. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Perfect quiet home to relax and explore Nova Scotia's coastline. The amazing location is on a beautiful coastal road to explore the peninsula's coast and only a two minute ride from the Rum Runner trail if we wanted a quiet forest ride to the next town.The house had all the amenities needed to whether we wanted to relax at the house or head out an explore the coast. The well furnished kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and property made it easy to settle in and feel at home as soon as we opened the door.

Everything we needed and more!

The house was very clean and had a full kitchen, cozy hot tub, beautiful patio, laundry, a big tv, games, books, nice linens. The hosts were quick to respond to communications and answered all our questions. We were located conveniently between Peggy’s cove and lunenburg. Nice neighborhood for a walk. two friendly cats came to say hello in the yard and we even saw a mama duck with her babies walking to the pond for a swim. We had a wonderful time and wish we would have stayed longer.

Home away from Home

Spotless beautiful home. Made you feel at home from the moment you walked through the door. Karen thought of everything and was the perfect hostess. Would definitely recommend this property. Close to many tourist spots. Would definitely return.

Historically Modern

We are a group of 4 seniors and enjoyed this home with a great family history. From the moment you step in it has the feeling of home. It has everything you need clean and comfortably. It has 2 bathrooms but only one shower in the downstairs ensuite but it worked out ok. The home is well equipped and hosts supply the little extras like tpaper,paper towel, shampoo, even robes and slippers which is a really nice touch.. Definitely would book again

Awesome

The home was so clean and organized. We all enjoyed the soft tub. The kids loved the games and books. Beautiful location with a short walk to the park and ocean. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything to make a meal. We just brought the food. The host Karen checked on us to make sure all was good. Definitely a roomy home we would stay in again. Wonderful spot to stay.

Karen and Neil have created a lovely guest house — a very sympathetic renovation of a heritage family home. Everything was clean, comfortable and welcoming. We especially appreciated that one of the bedrooms was on the main floor since my cousin had injured his knee and found stairs painful. We had a great time exploring southern Nova Scotia from our home base here. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Beautiful property

This property is definitely a 10 plus property and Neil and Karen are the sweetest people. They check in with us on our day of arrival and when we were not going to arrive until after 10:30 pm. She left the lights on for us and texted us Along the way to be sure we were okay. The house is beautiful and we wish we could have stayed longer and used the kayaks that they had. We loved the hot tub. Highly recommend this property

Lovely Spot

If you are looking for somewhere that feels like home while on vacation, this is the place. The house has charm with modern updates. We loved the hot tub and sitting by a fire each night. Karen and Neil provided everything you could think of and the amenities were plentiful. They also gave many suggestions of things to do in the area. The house was located between Lunenburg, Peggy's Cove and Halifax, which was perfect for us. We really appreciated the lovely stay and the amazing hosts. We will definitely stay again if we are in Nova Scotia

Amazing — a true gem

A spotlessly clean, amenity-loaded (hot tub, anyone??), beautiful house in a gorgeous spot handy to all kinds of natural beauty, activities, and amazing eats. The owners are so friendly and helpful, and clearly love the house and area. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

This is a gem in an amazing location. Well laid out, beautifully decorated, everything you need and more, love the beach and water equipment as well as the outdoor games! The hot tub with a view of the ocean was incredible. The owners answered all questions promptly. I will look forward to coming back again.

You Gotta Stay Here

If you want that home away from home feel in beautiful NS, then this is the place for you! Karen and Neil have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and fun! From the back deck, where you can have a leisurely start to your day, to access to bikes or kayaks to explore the area, or end your day in the hot tub…this property has something for everyone! We were so glad we got to meet them and have a wonderful chat with them and the learn history of this restored heritage family home. Karen even brought us over a charcuterie board when we said that was our dinner plan! We will definitely be back…I miss the back deck already!
