    The Space:

    A classic Lowcountry scene awaits at this lovely beach cottage, serenely tucked among the trees on the bayfront in Edisto Beach. It's the perfect getaway - a place to walk three short blocks to the beach, go fishing and crabbing from the private dock, and take in gorgeous sunset views over the Wadmalaw River.



    This two-story home is ideal for beach-goers, with Edisto Beach itself within a quarter-mile stroll. World-class golf, Edisto Beach State Park, fishing charters, restaurants, shops, and bike and golf cart rentals are all close by as well.



    After a day spent swimming, riding bikes, or fishing along the shoreline, come home to rinse off in the outdoor shower and settle in on the spacious back deck. It's a lovely spot to sit back in a lounge chair, share an alfresco meal, or simply gaze out at the river, the palmettos, and the stately live oaks.



    The centrally air-conditioned interior is bright, breezy, and open, with views of the water framed by generous windows. Enjoy a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, both a breakfast bar and a farm table for dining, and a living room that's ideal for gathering. In the evenings, stream movies and sports via Hulu+ and Hulu Live, and leave the day's swimsuits and towels to spin in the washer/dryer. Of the three bedrooms, one features an en suite bathroom and its own TV; another offers a desk workspace where you can log onto the complimentary WiFi.

    The dock is for fishing and crabbing only.

    Check-in time: 4:00 PM.

    Check-out time: 10:00 AM.

    All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Beautiful and comfortable house!

We loved having the proximity to the beach as well as a gorgeous dock. We spent most of our time on the porch or under the house watching birds and sunsets while enjoying the breeze. Plenty of seating inside and out! House had everything we needed and was very new, clean, and comfortable. It’s perfect for a small family!

Beautiful house on the marsh side. The deck was the perfect spot to enjoy coffee in the morning or watch the sunset in the evening. Very much enjoyed the marsh view with the wonderful breeze. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils/pots which is nice for family meals. We are planning our small family getaway next year. Highly recommend this house.

We enjoyed our stay at The Toasted Oyster- everything in the house felt brand new, very clean, decently stocked (bring spices, oil, etc if you plan to cook). We spent a lot of time on the dock and the porch (might want bug spray as the no-see-ums were swarming). Great to have a washer and dryer, and outdoor bathroom. The house is cozy and had just what we needed for our family of 6.

Terrific Toasted Oyster

The house is very clean, recently renovated. The rooms are well appointed. The bathrooms are very nice, making me long for renovations of my own back home. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils/pots/pans. The marsh view and dock were spectacular, especially for the town's fireworks on July 4. There was a lot of fishing this week. My family had a great time and would recommend the Toasted Oyster to others. Check in and out with Vacasa's local office was easy. Had an issue with discovering broken plastic bowls in the kitchen, their online response was timely and professional. Looking forward to another vacation week at Edisto next year.
