Thank you for the feedback! We have our new infrared sauna being built in-house as we speak, and new supporting electrical being installed next week with it. The old one depreciated out and became too old after 27 years and it was time to be replaced.Please be sure to come back again next year and try out our new sauna once it is operational!Thank you for the feedback about Dan! Thank you for letting us know your feedback. We strive to deliver a great experience to our guests. We will look into stocking our rooms further and doing an inventory. Admittedly, there are times that there are room blocks where numerous guests will be sharing several rooms together and we'll share pots and pans and other cooking utensils between the rooms but not return them to the rooms they came from after their use and their housekeeping might not always catch the inventory count. The wall units work very well and usually takes about 45 minutes to completely cool a room down to as low as 60 if chosen to. We look forward to having you again in the future. Hi michael, I'm very sorry for your experience. At Newport we try to provide an excellent service and product given our Door County Cape Cod "feel," and continually work to update and grow the resort. We are actually currently undergoing our annual spring cleaning and working to make sure our rooms essentially get reset after such high volume and usage throughout the year. I will be sure to pass along to the housekeeping team and double down on our delivery and quality. I do know for a fact, that we do get fibers that come from the laundry with static cling and that has been something occurring more recently. We will have to look into our main washer and dryers and determine further what we need to do for this. If there was an issue with any hot water, I would always ask that you let our team know and we can address it further. We have three 100 gallon water heaters on site and during the time of your stay, we also received no remarks or concerns about hot water but this would still be something we would want to know and look into further in real time. The water heaters are all brand new as they were replaced last year. One in Feb, another in July, and another in August. I would love to invite you back to the property and work to earn your business again in the future. If you do look to venture back up to Newport Resort, please reach out and ask for Eric. Hello Jamie, this is Eric Bishop, the AGM, the individual you spoke with at the Front Desk in regards to your concerns the next day and worked with you to resolve. I am a bit shocked and confused to see that this story continues to change each time we have had a conversation. It would appear you failed to mention that our on-site staff, Claudia came to assist you, and changed your bed sheets and comforter, and even offered you to be moved to a new room for the inconvenience, and when I (at the front desk) saw the picture, it was a single, short hair. You also didn't mention how I went on to explain that I requested to see any photos for verification as part of our policy and management, and had stated that the sheets and comforter are changed every time, every day after use from our housekeeping team, and at times, through the wash, there might still be cling from it, at which point, we have no problem owning it and apologizing for the error on our part. You also seem to have forgotten to mention that when you raised concerns for your patio door not working, I had our maintenance technician go look that over for you who was able to show you that there was a safety lock feature on the door for children, and show you how to use the door properly, which indeed, the door does still work great. As per the DATCP (Department of Agriculture Trade, and Consumer Protection) in Wisconsin, the hot tub is to be held between 102 and 104 degrees each day for proper and safe use for its participants, and it is advised that participants do not sit in the pool longer than 10 minutes for health precautions. I would offer to earn your business back, as we did by giving you almost 100 in credit with a bottle of wine, 2 sweatshirts, and a few other things but considering that even with our efforts to make you happy, and work with you, and even ask you each day how your stay was going, you replied, "Doing great," and so forth, with no further mention of a ghost, I would say the review you gave us was premeditated. Thank you for your feedback, and we will use this vital information to continue to serve our other future guests, and provide a high-quality establishment for all.

Hi James, Thank you for our feedback. I do apologize for some of the inconvenience you discovered with your stay. Sometimes individuals belongings get left behind and mistakes do happen, we do have our housekeeping team go through each room in teams of 4, not only for accountability and security but also for quality. If we missed the clothes in the drawer, it might have been an opportunity for us to make sure we go through the drawers with a more fine-tooth comb! I can assure you our pool is emptied, scrubbed, power-washed, and refilled once a year per Wisconsin guidelines. In addition to the pool being messy, we have our staff make an effort to circle through the pool area once an hour and once every 2 hours when we are at peak business to "reset," and restock the pool area but we are a larger property with a lot of traffic in our pool area, and so the pool can get a bit messy with towels, toys, and the like from guests as the pool gets used. If you would like to call regarding this item that was lost, I can go through our lost and found book, our lost and found storage, and even our vault depending on the item and check again for you.
