We had trouble booking this cabin as my request was cancelled twice for an error on VRBO end and then had to wait another day to try to book again. I had to request my VRBO fee back as well as they charged my account twice. The host was very good about working with me and responded quickly to all my questions. The booking issue was on the VRBO side. I did point out to the host that the description of cabin was incorrectly listed as it only had one shower and upstairs bath is just 1/2 bath, no shower. He updated that right away. The cabin is in a very beautiful spot right on the river. We enjoyed the fire pit being close to the water and used it every night. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and stocked nicely with shampoos, soaps, etc. The biggest negatives of this cabin were the dishes unfortunately were put up dirty. Quite a few plates and silverware had food on them and the glasses were also not too clean. We had do wash them in the sink before using. But the biggest issue was the smell. It definitely has a very damp, moldy smell that hits you right when you walk in the door. Despite the plug-ins in every room, they were no match for moldy smelling odor. Not sure if there was water issue under the cabin at one time or maybe moisture barrier wasn’t used. Hopefully, something can be done to remedy that as it was over bearing. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and saw several deer roaming the area.
