This is a suitable place to keep dogs. My partner had a hard time with the amount of earwig bugs. They were consistently showing up every couple of hours all over the house. We had bugs in clothes that we left on the ground overnight. The bathroom ceiling also has a ton of mold. There is no ventilation in there and the shower water pressure is similar to a camper shower. We had a nice time but we did not expect to have to deal with that.
Property was ok. We went for a winter ski trip at Boyne. The main propane heater was not working so there were electric heaters, and an electric fireplace. Blew a fuse a couple of times trying to warm the house up. There is another propane heater in the back utilty area so we cranked that up and used a fan to blow heat into the main house. Woke up to 58 degrees. We were able to get it up to 68 after a day of running as many heaters as possible Hot and Cold water lines are backwards at the fixtures. It is marked on the bathroom faucet. Beds are adequate, simple single mattresses. Every room has a TV so that is nice..Steps to upstairs are short and steep, so take some care going up and down on those.
Really nice farm house close to Boyne Mountain. All the amenities we needed and more. Pictures are accurate. Heating and water pressure were are only two complaints as the bedrooms ran quite cold and the water pressure in the shower was really low. Bring warm PJs! Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed for meals and laundry.
