Guest kitchen area/breakfast room fully stocked with with various breakfast items ranging from eggs to bread, fresh pots of fruit, cerial, pastries and even fresh coffee if thats what you desire. « We stayed in one of the cottages which although a bit dated offer a lot of space and character. The room itself was spotless and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Loftsome bridge although off a main road for convenience is lovely and quite due to it being a good distant back from it, so you get the best of both worlds a good nights sleep and connectivity to all the local attractions with York not being too far away. « The setting is beautiful and the staff amazing. We took our 2 Spaniels with us and stayed in a dog friendly suite. Room was huge and surprisingly warm considering it was a converted Castle. Breakfast in the morning was decent and you are within 25 mins of York. All in all a great trip and we will 100% stay here again. »

« What a great find. Cave Castle is a lovely hotel and the staff are amazing. I contacted the hotel a few days before with some requests regarding my wife as she has mobility issues. One was for the room to be on the ground floor or close to the lift and the other was for extra pillows as my wife has to sleep upright. « Staff were impeccable. Food excellent. Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. »
