Glen Lake - Vues spectaculaires sur les dunes et confidentialité totale!

  • La «Beach House» sur Little Glen Lake a été construite au début des années 20 dans le cadre de l'ancien «Oasis Resort», l'une des premières stations qui fonctionnaient autour du lac. À l'origine un hangar à bateaux, il a été converti en chalet à la fin des années 30. En 1996, nous avons complètement vidé le bâtiment d'origine et l'avons reconstruit en gîte privé. Entouré de vastes terrasses et d'une salle à manger extérieure privée ombragée, le chalet se trouve dans un cadre très privé sur la rive nord du lac Little Glen avec des vues spectaculaires sur les collines environnantes, les dunes de l'ours endormi et des couchers de soleil fabuleux.

    L'eau est limpide avec un fond sablonneux et est excellente pour la baignade et est particulièrement agréable pour les petits enfants car elle est peu profonde pour plus de 100 pieds. Vous avez votre propre quai privé et un amarrage dédié est disponible si vous apportez votre propre bateau.

    Le pont orienté au sud en face du chalet a à la fois des chaises longues et des chaises adirondack et est parfait pour lire, bronzer ou profiter d'une boisson. Un canoë et 2 kayaks sont à votre disposition. Après la tombée de la nuit, profitez d'un feu et de fumées dans votre propre foyer privé.

    Sachez qu'il y a un escalier que vous devez négocier pour rejoindre le chalet - pas raide, 22 marches avec plusieurs paliers. Ne convient pas aux fauteuils roulants ou aux marcheurs.

The location which was right in the water, the hosts who were tremendous and the cottage which was in great condition equaled a great week and I plan to be back.

Lovely stay on little glen

We really enjoyed our stay on Little Glen- right on the water which is a very unique, cool experience! Our family of 4 was so comfortable in the cottage which was cozy, private and clean. Central location to all things in Glen Arbor and beautiful sunsets!

Wonderful location for exploring the Sleeping Bear area. I loved being right on the water. The shallow area was great for our kids to swim and hang out in the water, and the kayaks were great for exploring Little Glen Lake. Hosts were kind and helpful.

Lovely stay and lovely Little Glen Lake

We loved our stay at this sweet cottage on the shore of little Glen Lake. The location is perfect, the beds are comfy, the views are beautiful! Little Glen lake is the perfect shallow depth for our toddler grandchildren who visited us for the day. We hope to return again.

Cozy Lake Cottage

My husband and I had a spectacular week staying at Joan and Bob’s lovely cottage. The location, the view, the comfort provided were all first rate. Many times we enjoyed just staying put and cooking our meals in the well equipped kitchen. The side patios lended lovely intimate spaces to enjoy our meals. We look forward to returning to this cozy spot next year!

Cozy cottage on Little Glen

We loved our stay on Little Glen lake! The cottage was homey but not cluttered and it felt very clean. It felt very private and relaxed. It was a great location for access to Sleeping Bear Dunes as well. The deck was great for morning coffee and evening drinks. Lots of avian wildlife to observe, we saw many birds including a bald eagle right above the deck. The host had great suggestions for beaches, trails, and restaurants. They are also very responsive and quickly address and resolve any problems. It had everything we needed and we especially loved the available kayaks and paddle board, and fire pit with wood included! Thank you so much for a great stay.

Lovely September Trip

Bob and Joan were wonderful hosts!! They were delightful to talk to and their dog was adorable! The rental was very clean, comfortable, and felt like home. We were able to watch the gorgeous sunsets from the deck while enjoying a glass of wine. Although the weather was less than ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year. Our family has been vacationing at Glen Lake for the past 17 years, but this was our first time renting Bob and Joan's "slice of heaven". Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay.

More than a cottage

We had a wonderful week at Glen Lake. The beautiful boathouse is comfortable, cozy and clean. The views are spectacular! Bob and Joan are great hosts, very accommodating. Curly and Quacker added to the fun! We hope to return soon!

The Perfect Week

Our time at the boathouse was one of our most memorable in northern Michigan ever. The accommodations were so lovely, warm and inviting - everything we could possibly need was right there. The view from our deck was beautiful during the day and even more so at sunset. Bob and Joan were the most gracious and accommodating hosts. We hope to stay at the boathouse for years to come.

Relaxing, picturesque vacation

Glen Lake is absolutely amazing. Warm, clear waters and breathtaking sunsets over the sand dunes. Excellent accommodations with attentive and hospitable owners on site. Location near Glen Arbor is convenient with plenty to keep yourself busy, if you can tear yourself away from this lakefront!

Secluded getaway

We had a great time despite the weather, the sand dunes scenic drive was made even better by arriving on a no fee day! Apparently the park service has several of these a year. Our hosts were timely in their responses and Joan our host was very gracious. Word of warning, even though they state the property is not handicap accessible there is no mention of the stairs you must negotiate with your luggage, its a little bit of a work out. Overall its very well appointed and cozy.

A hideaway in the center of an adventurer's paradise!

The clear waters of Little Glen Lake lap on the sandy shore just steps away from this sweet cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room is cozy and inviting. Just outside the picture windows are the sparkling lake waters. It's so quiet and hidden from houses and roads that you forget -- for a while -- you are a short drive from hillside hikes, easy kayak floats, breathtaking overlooks, vineyards and wineries, apple orchards, roadside produce stands; or quaint shops and casual restaurants. Return to the cabin at sunset, pour some of that Michigan wine from the day's outing, relax on the deck of your retreat at the water's edge and know THIS is a perfect place to relax, refuel and recharge for your next adventure!
