Beautiful area and house. The house was a little older than I thought but still great to stay in. Plenty of rooms and space. Did not get to try the pool but the basketball/tennis court was great to have. The small towns nearby were great and had everything we needed in terms of eating and supplies. Best part was communication with staff. Leading up to stay there was plentiful communication and the concierge service was a great tool to have with set up and getting extra air mattresses for our stay.Check in was great as well; Kim was there and walked us through everything. Response time was excellent. There was an issue with water pressure that happened late in the evening but her response was quick and someone was there to check it out early in the morning which we appreciated.Was one of the better trip experiences because of the staff and quick communication between all involved. Lessened the stress of preparation and allowed me to focus on planning the trip without worrying about last minute surprises at the property.

Fantastic time at the Tennis Ranch

We had a couple of families share this property and it was exactly what we needed. Nestled in the hills with great views and quiet surroundings. Great pool, tennis/pickleball court and overall house with a great family room and kitchen. Close to San Elijo Hills which is a great small town with shopping and restaurants. Less than 5 minute drive. The owner Bob and his son Dylan were fantastic and great hosts. Communication with them was very easy. Highly recommend this as a getaway if you are not looking to stay at the beach.

Old memories shared and new memories made

Three generations spent a wonderful time of sharing old memories as well as making new ones. A perfect place for our family of 16 people. Let's start with our wonderful host, Bob and his equally wonderful son, Dylan. Communication was above and beyond. Truly. Any little blips were addressed immediately and resolved quickly. The quality of our stay was never compromised and was always their top priority. The home is spacious, bright, comfortable, and had so much to do - or not to do, if that is what you're looking for. We utilized all the amenities: pool table, arcade-style game, swimming pool, tennis court, basketball hoops, bicycles, tricycles, jungle gym, fire pit and more! All ages had something to do while we were at home. As a side note, I brought my own Pickleball net, a tape measure and painter's tape to make our own court. We were able to use one side of the tennis court for Pickleball while the other side was still open for those that wanted to shoot baskets. I would most definitely also recommend hiring Chef Alfonso. After reading some of the previous reviews, I asked Bob for his contact info. Our dinner with Chef Alfonso was amazing and enjoyed by all. We are all looking forward to returning to this property! Thank you Bob and Dylan for a wonderful stay!

Great property for families

This property was fantastic for our 3 generation family trip. The pool was perfect, swingset and tennis courts were also a hit with our kids too. The room set up provided lots of space and the open living, dinning room and kitchen allowed everyone to stay connected. Bob and Dylan were good hosts and were quick to respond when needed too. The only downside would be getting a key for the facility. We didn’t feel like the doors locked very well even though there was a key pad code at the end of the driveway. One opportunity for improvement would be to put hooks up for towels in the bathrooms.

This is a wonderful property. The owner/manager was very responsive and available. The kids loved the pool and basketball court. The adults loved the beautiful terrace and hillside views. Make sure to book the private chef service for an added touch of the extraordinary!

Family Staycation Extraordinary!

Our blended family has members from 75 to 14 months. We were so happy to find a home large enough for everyone to have the privacy (bedrooms / baths) that we needed and sleep in a "real" bed. The tennis court was huge hit, as were the bicycles provided by the host for the children. Pool was perfect for lounging in the afternoon. Kitchen is large and well equipped. We cooked every meal in the house and found everything we needed. The host was very responsive when we had questions.

Perfect weekend vacation home

The house was a dream for those with a family. The house was spacious, clean and full of fun things for the family. The tennis court is huge and loaded with toys for kids and adults. The kids were obsessed with the playground and beautiful heated pool. Bob was wonderful with communicating and let us go on a horseback ride on property. We enjoyed cooking in big kitchen and eating outside watching the sunset . We had no reason to leave the house entire weekend! We will be back!

Perfect multigenerational destination

There was always something to do. From the pool to the playground to the tennis court, arcade game and foosball the options were endless. Also wonderful places just to relax. The location is close enough to stores and restaurants for anything you may need. Waking up to the chickens and the horses was a treat for us city dwellers. We would highly recommend Bob and his property.

Gorgeous views and fabulous tennis court

We stayed at the Tennis Ranch for the Thanksgiving week with our sons and two of their friends. Because of Covid, we didn't go out of the house much, but we were so comfortable at the house, and there were so many things to do, that we had a wonderful and fun week. I can't imagine a tennis court in a more beautiful setting! It was amazing to sit on the deck watching the boys play tennis with the amazing view of the mountains in the background. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Bob was amazing and super responsive when we had a question. We hope to be back after the pandemic is over, so we can explore the area a bit more. Oh - and we had a fabulous take-out Thanksgiving dinner from the Green Dragon Tavern in Carlsbad! The best I've ever had!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!!

What a great place!

Wonderful vacation rental for a family or group. This place is beautiful and spotless. It has foosball, pool table, tennis court, swimming pool, kids playground, a hiking path, and beautiful views. Bob is nearby if you need him (we didn’t need him). We hope to be back soon!

Great house for groups

The Ranch is a beautiful property, perfect for groups. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Large kitchen and great room. Pool table, arcade game. Amazing view overlooking San Diego. The pool is large, clean and has comfortable chairs and shade. Tennis court is very nice. Playground for little ones is huge. The house is gated- private and secluded. The owner is very responsive. We had a great time. Bob was a great host. He was there to greet us and go over everything with us. Chef Alfonso made us a great breakfast. We had a college reunion with 15 friends of ours. Bob was able to communicate very quickly with us thru text messages. Definitely worth the stay, and great location which was close to everything. Beautiful home and location.

This house has it all— space galore, a pool, tennis court, trampoline and kids play structure.
