Property is in an excellent location to visit RMNP. Home was very well stocked and worked perfectly for our trip to RMNP. Would definitely stay here again when we visit the area.
This is an awesome property in Estes Park. Easy access. Close to everything. Comfortable spaces with plenty of room to spread out. Nicely appointed with most everything you need. Timely response from owner when issues arise. Will definitely rent again!!
Overall, we had a great experience at Buffalo Retreat. The house was exactly as pictured and very comfortable for 6 people. It is in a great location in Estes Park, a very short drive the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is also a short walk to some of the shops and a short drive to the main downtown area. The host was very responsive, answering my questions very quickly and the check in process was smooth.
Really clean rental, plenty of space, short drive to everything but not in busy area, great bedding and linens. We always stay at VRBOs and some give you the bare minimum for soap, toilet paper, etc. We appreciated the little things this property did like generous shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tissues, toilet paper, plenty of towels, etc. It really felt like home and we will definitely stay here again if we return to Estes Park!
We found the property for a last minute trip and despite having 4 very excited kids it ended up working perfect for a last minute arrangement. The duplex has a basement with two bedrooms and an upstairs open loft with a bathroom/ bedroom. We made it work and it worked out!
This is a beautiful property and centrally located, which made traveling about and exploring really easy. The home was super clean - one of the cleanest rentals I've ever stayed at! So much space and great for a family. The communication with the property management was not very good. I never received an email or text with information for how to access the home or the address and when I called no one answered. I waited and received a lukewarm response via text. When I arrived there was no internet working and it was hard again to reach someone, and the response was always a text "from the property manager". I never knew who I was dealing with, which made for a cold customer service experience. Additionally I was instructed to tear down all the linens and start the washing machine before I checked out. I found this odd. People go on vacation - especially with kids - to get away from doing laundry constantly. Asking a guest to do the rental bedding seems out of line.
Also, this doesn't matter much during the day, but the house has no central air conditioning, so at night it was a sauna inside. Not sure if this is typical of Colorado, but it's worth knowing about. Overall, it was a beautiful space and we enjoyed our stay despite the number of odd customer service experiences.
