Conte Jacopo is an exquisite three-bedroom apartment within Dimora degli Affreschi, an impressive 19th-century Florentine palazzo near the banks of the Arno in the vibrant Santa Croce district. Carefully restored over three years, the palazzo combines its historic architectural character with a contemporary Florentine aesthetic, bespoke furnishings and beautifully curated interiors by ArchFlorence.

Located on the second floor and sleeping up to six guests, Conte Jacopo offers three tranquil double bedrooms, four bathrooms, elegant living spaces and a remarkable collection of frescoed ceilings throughout the apartment. The property is reached via a few steps from the main palazzo entrance, with stairs and/or lift access to the second floor.

THE LIVING ROOM

Peacefully positioned to the side of the palazzo overlooking Via Mozza, the elegant sitting room is presented in restful shades of blue.

Three tall shuttered windows fill the room with natural light, while gorgeous wooden chequerboard parquet flooring adds warmth and character underfoot. Comfortable seating provides a welcoming place to relax after exploring Florence.

The crowning feature is the colourful frescoed ceiling overhead, bringing an extraordinary piece of Florentine artistry directly into the living space.

KITCHEN & DINING

A spacious, sun-dappled kitchen and dining room provides another beautiful gathering space.

Decorated in warm terracotta tones, the room features a streamlined and well-equipped kitchen area, with the decorative former fireplace adding an attractive historic detail to the space.

A stylish dining suite with ghost chairs comfortably accommodates up to eight guests, while detailed cornicing and another frescoed ceiling complete the room.

BEDROOMS

Towards the rear of the apartment, an internal corridor connects the three tranquil double bedrooms.

The principal bedroom is beautifully decorated in elegant green tones and features a luxurious double bed with tailored upholstery. The bed can be divided into twin beds upon request.

A splendid fresco adorns the ceiling above, providing a striking view to enjoy as you settle in for the night. A walk-in closet at the rear offers generous storage, while the bedroom's sparkling marble en-suite bathroom features a rain shower.

The second double bedroom combines sage green and terracotta tones, with another beautifully frescoed ceiling overhead. It features a double bed that can be divided into twins upon request and its own pristine en-suite bathroom equipped with a bathtub and marble-encased rain shower.

The third bedroom is a charming and spacious double room overlooking a quiet courtyard. It is prettily furnished with a canopied double bed dressed in blue and mauve tones that echo the colours of its breathtaking ceiling fresco.

The room also has its own luxurious en-suite bathroom with a bathtub.

GUEST BATHROOM

Completing the apartment is a separate luxurious guest bathroom near the entrance. Decorated with Jim Thompson's Tea Party wallcovering, it includes a wash-hand basin, WC and a convenient washing machine/dryer.

Conte Jacopo sleeps up to six guests across three double bedrooms.

THE PALAZZO & GYM

Dimora degli Affreschi spans all five storeys of the handsome Palazzo Fossi and contains ten individually designed apartments. The interiors have been sensitively reconfigured while preserving the building's historic character.

Guests also have access to a gym area on the ground floor. The gym features a mirrored wall, two stationary bikes — one classic and one elliptical — together with weights and mats.

LOCATION

Conte Jacopo is centrally located in Santa Croce, close to the Horne Museum and within a stone's throw of the Uffizi Gallery.

The apartment is also within walking distance of Florence's iconic Duomo, the Basilica and sunny Piazza Santa Croce, and the spectacular Piazza della Signoria.

A short stroll across nearby Ponte alle Grazie takes you over the Arno towards the magnificent Pitti Palace, the treasures of the Boboli Gardens and the panoramic city views from Piazzale Michelangelo.

The surrounding streets are full of artisans, markets, cafés, bars and restaurants. La Buchetta is directly opposite the palazzo, while the rustic Del Fagioli is just around the corner. A nearby Conad supermarket is convenient for self-catering, and a nearby car park provides an option for guests arriving by car.

Air-conditioning and heating are subject to municipality regulations. Generally, heating operates from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning operates from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact the host for further information.
