Our stay at Folly Beach was so great. The house is not even 10 minutes from the beach, there's some decent restaurants close by, the house is very spacious and has all the basics, really comfortable for a big group.

Great Family Vacation

We had a great time over Christmas in this big house. Three generations fit comfortably in this house with two kitchens to help with cooking and the elevator to help the oldest generation to get in and out of the house. The management company was very responsive when we had questions or issues. The house and some of the appliances do show their age from time to time, but overall a great place to stay.

Thanksgiving feast for large family

This house had everything we could have imagined. The location was perfect. We had more than enough room for 18 people. Loved the 3 levels of this home. While the younger people stayed up and watched movies or played games on the second floor, everyone else wanted to turn in for the night could do without hearing anything on the first and third floors. Three kitchens were also a big bonus. for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Highly recommend this lovely home.

Not As It Seems

House was huge, but was not what photos depicted. Exterior was dirty and patios were too dingy to be used. Mold in garage refrigerator and very little water pressure in multiple bathrooms. SkyRun Kiawah (property management company) was great about getting a plumber out quickly to fix issues, and they sent an employee to help us clean. They and the owner also agreed to refund us for one day/night, as it took us nearly an entire day to get everything functional. Potential to be a great property, but defirnetly needs some TLC.

O hana folly beach house

Great location. very clean inside!! Short walk to beach every day we took. Some amenities not in best shape (grill, hot tub) but we didn't use them anyway so did not miss them. Overall highly recommend location... planning to go back!

Family getaway

The property worked well for our family with a great layout and enough king size bedrooms for all. A reasonable walk to the beach and the elevator really helped in getting unloaded. Disappointed with the number of things that need repair/attention. Lots of light bulbs were burned out, the handle on the freezer portion of the downstairs refrigerator was falling off, the kitchen faucet was very loose (later repaired) and upstairs air conditioning took some time to figure out which door needed to be closed to help get the temperature back into the 70's, but the first night it was very warm. The upstairs outside deck had many old broken chairs and tables that probably should just be removed as most will not use them. The downstairs outdoor deck just needed cleaning. Attention should be given to clean up and repair of various areas of the property.

Girls Trip

Amazing home with plenty of room so that everyone had their own space, but also numerous common areas to relax in! We also loved the quiet neighborhood and easy walk downtown and/or to the beach! The property management team were excellent communicators and able to help us out as needed. Would definitely recommend for larger groups!

Lacking attention to detail

We had a nice stay at Folly Ohana. It's a very large house, plenty of room for everyone. The elevator was amazing since we had a person confined to a wheelchair. The house is a very short walk to the beautiful beach, and a little bit farther to all the shops and restaurants. All that being said, most areas of the house could use an upgrade!

The overall house itself has a lot of space and a nice layout. There were permits posted for work being done on the property and that caught us a little off guard. There is a lot of updates that need completed so the permit made since. We thought all 10 bedrooms had bathrooms and that was not the case. Two bedrooms downstairs share a full bath, and the other King room has no bathroom. There is a 1/2 bath across the dining room for this bedroom to access. We used the locked balcony area upstairs as an additional bedroom. This room could have a wall to go all the way to the ceiling to be able to use it as a true bedroom. We made it work for the purpose we needed it for. There is only 1 sleeper sofa, so if you are looking for additional sleeping options bring air mattress just in case. Overall the property is great for large family gatherings as there are 2 full kitchens and a kitchenette upstairs on the 3rd floor. We feel once the construction is completely done this property is going to amazing and will be the “IT” property to rent on Folly Beach. Location & parking is definitely 5 stars and the 4 car garage is perfect for when it rains to play corn hole inside. The elevator makes it very easy to load & unload the cars from the multiple floors. We enjoyed our stay.

Great large house for a group stay

We really liked this house and loved the communication with the management company. They were very easy to deal with. The rooms were clean and the space was really good for large groups. We also could walk to the beach and to some restaurants and bars, which was great. One thing we raised with management was that it was pretty hot on the top floor, but they were great and said they would have someone come and remedy that immediately. Also, there was a weird fluke where the shower door on the top floor somehow shattered. The management company was horrified and handled it incredibly well, including negotiating a discount to help make up for it. (This was no one’s fault and was really just a fluke. The house was so well maintained and everything was in great condition. I offer this story just to show how wonderful the management company was.) The space really is perfect for large groups and there are many areas to hang out and socialize, while also giving everyone their private space. We loved our stay here.

Perfect Folly Spot for a larger group

House was perfect and very well kept. Would definitely recommend to a larger party. It had everything we needed and was a short walk to all the Center Street restaurants and bars as well as the beach. Both porches at the house were great to hangout on too if you don’t feel like leaving the house. Skyrun was a breeze to work with and made everything wicked easy.

Great for big group

House was mostly as advertised — perfect for our group of 16! Tons of comfortable sleeping arrangements, big space, close to beach. It’s a bit dated but was super clean. Only recommendation would be supplying more than 1 trash bag to guests. I knew the starter amenity packs are just supposed to get you started for a day or two but a single trash bag when the house holds up to 24 people is odd. Thankfully Bert’s is a great store closeby that provides the essentials (also get the pulled pork sandwich at Bert’s!). Overall great stay.

Property needs a redo, painting deep cleaning ! Also silverware dishware and cooking utensils need to be upgraded.To much junk on entry level needs to be removed.Space wise great for family reunion ,sleeping accommodations also very good.
