When we arrived (around midnight, after a late flight and long drive), we immediately had difficulty finding the front door as there was no lighting, no tidbit that there are two doors for every unit number, and that the actual front door was hidden behind stairs. Once we entered, we were immediately hit by an odor of mildew. The shower in the main bathroom doesn’t fully shut off and with no ventilation, water just sits on the ceiling. When we tried to air out the place, we discovered that not a single window has a screen so it wasn’t possible to even sleep with the windows open so we were forced to buy diffusers to help with the stench. There was ONE plug in we found but it was empty… fire hazard? No stand fan either. No extra blankets. Uncomfortable beds. Now, on to the pool… it’s one thing to have been surprised that it was not a private pool with some sort of direct access (like a balcony/patio) but the one instance we ventured there, we discovered that it was freezing cold despite the advertisement of it being heated AND there is a unit directly attached to the pool area. So, not only did we not get to enjoy an aspect of the unit we paid for, looked forward to, and disregarded other rentals for BECAUSE of this “perk”, but even if we tried to enjoy the pool, doing so would have encroached on someone else. We also had no WiFi. Tried to work out compensation with the Hospitality Group but no issues beyond the WiFi were acknowledged. Disappointing to say the least.
