By far, the worst stay I’ve ever had at a property. The owner was very slow in communication and the house was definitely NOT as listed. My 11 guests and I stayed just one night and in that one night the toilet overflowed after every use, the a/c never cooled below 76 degrees, and we weren’t given more than 8 bath towels even though I sent numerous messages requesting more. They did not even provide any wash cloths or hand towels. We could not use the dishwasher. The house is on a septic tank and it took over 6 HOURS to get a handyman to come out and fix it. All 12 of us had to rely on just 1 bathroom to shower in after coming from the beach. Not only that, we had to literally wash towels after every use just to have enough for everyone to use. The owner blamed me for “complaining” about my requests and said I should have been more grateful he let us check in at noon instead of the regular check in time of 5pm. 5pm!!!!! Then after my stay, he tried to charge me 300 for the mess the handyman left after fixing the toilet situation (see the photo). Do NOT book this property especially if you don’t want to be watched every second of the day. He would literally message me about things we did that “damaged” his property, like moving a patio chair from the backyard to the front. Oh and beware, it’s only a 3 bedroom property with only 2 TVs and there are NO bidets in the bathroom. I wish i could give ZERO stars. I will be contacting VRBO for his shady practices.
