Sadly this house is our worst vacation rental ever. It was listed and appeared bright and clean and in a central location to the beach and restaurants. The house was dirty upon arrival. Pool was not heated and we paid to have it done. It was unsafe with unsecure and not to code fencing on the property protecting our children from the waterway behind it. The fence did not connect and had cinder blocks and old wood as a temporary fence. The taller fence from the back yard to front did not latch. The side yard was full of broken stones, cinder blocks and empty boxes just strewn about. The dining table was not as shown in images and there were only 5 chairs for a house for 8 guests. There were two screws sticking out of the wall at leg height and any person would run into it and get cut. The couch is not the one shown and is fabric and they allow pets so not sanitary for guests who have pet allergies. There were dead bugs inside and hair all over the floor so it was not cleaned. The pool is incredibly small and that is not truly reflected in the listing pictures. We are still waiting for our full refund almost a week later. This listing is awful and I would never recommend anyone ever staying here. The area is unsafe as well and a few streets over there are numerous homeless people living on the streets. Shame on the host to post inaccurate pictures, inaccurate location to beach and for VRBO to take this long to give us our payment back.

Upon arrival, we found the home to be clean and adequately stocked with provisions, such as towels and cleaning supplies.The icemaker in the refrigerator was not operating. We brought to the host’s attention and a service person was dispatched to the house. Unfortunately the icemaker needed to be replaced. The replacement unit was not available for installation until a few days before our departure so we supplied our own ice. The host contacted us a few days prior to our departure and asked if we would allow the service people to enter the home and install the replacement. We asked that it not be installed until we departed. . While the host acknowledged our request, it appears the service technician entered the home when we were not present and replaced the icemaker. This was very troubling.The heater for the pool was not operating upon our arrival. After an exchange of several messages, the host requested we inspect the circuit breakers. Apparently, there had been a power outage. The breakers had been tripped and once reset the heater functioned correctly. We appreciate the host crediting our account for the two days the pool heater did not function.Prior to our departure, the garbage disposal stopped working. We reported it to the host.The television in the front corner bedroom of the home has lost its contrast, making the screen difficult to view.While the host was very responsive to our inquiries, it does not appear the house was inspected prior to our oc

We were in town for our niece’s college graduation. We entertained her and my in-laws on two different nights. We used the property to its fullest. Spent time in the pool, cooked, entertained, and just lived. The local area has everything that could be needed or wanted. Would recommend 100%

Great spring break

Had the pool heated for the stay, definitely glad I did. Kids had fun with late night ping pong tournaments. We had fun watching the wildlife that comes with canal living:) Overall the house and amenities were exactly as described, would recommend staying here:)

Fort Lauderdale Family Time

This property is in a great location with very little traffic on the street and not too far to a public beach. The pool and backyard is nice and we enjoyed being on the canal. The house worked out well for us with everything we needed. There were a couple of minor household repairs that need attention but I’m sure they will be taken care of since mentioned to property managers. All in all it made for a nice vacation home to stay at.

This property was very nice, clean, although the Master Bedroom was warm and didn't cool down even with a fan, and the Master bath lighting was not the greatest. We loved the outside but didn't get to enjoy it as much due to the mosquitos. But this won't keep us from coming back, we love Florida, and the home was beautiful.

Great location,

We’re from the UK and the previous week stayed in Orlando in a beautiful property without any issues. This canal side property’s location and initial thoughts were amazing, however due to the previous guests leaving the place in an appalling state things quickly went bad,at the rear the furniture and toys were left strewn all over, walls on the property were fire damaged and black from a grill/bbq near used near to wall (grill had since been removed) on the inside the kitchen sink was blocked, which also made the dishwasher out of use,glasses and other utensils were gone,other small issues were also apparent. The management company were contacted and the manager dropped by with replacement glasses etc however claimed she could not speak any English(??) We liaised via mail to mgmt co who said the blocked sink would be repaired,it took 2 days and 3 visits from employees and plumber to repair,we had to be at in the property to allow access. The dishwasher took 5 days. I finally talked to another manager on the phone to discuss our predicament, I fully understand and appreciate that the company were not to blame for the issue, it was simply the previous guests however we were also not responsible and we had to initiate the repairs,no communication was made to us at any point,the mgmt co ideally should have informed us of the problem with plans in place to resolve.That would have been reasonable. We were compensated for 2 days. If repainted great place to stay now all ok

Nice but Not Great

My family and I are very particular about the listings that we chose and the neighborhoods that we stay in. The neighborhood is great. 10 mins from the beach with everything on the way or a short 5 min drive. However, we actually rented the property because we love to play pool/table tennis. The table was broken causing it to flip sideways when you attempted to use it. When we spoke to management, they made it out to be nothing. This was disappointing. Also, probably day 2 during our stay (and not our fault), the toilet backed up into two of the three showers. Only the master room shower went unscathed. Management had a plumber out within about 2-3 hours which was GREAT. They cleared the back up so the toilets worked again, however we had no products to clean the showers and management did not bother to have them cleaned. Despite a cockroach and broken cabinet drawer, and these other items, the house was great. Beautiful outdoor space, nice big kitchen which we used to make Thanksgiving dinner, and plenty of space throughout the house. We just wish we had full use of the entire property during our entire stay. When we did convey these issues to management, they were responsive but very rigid and unapologetic. The pool table apparently wasn't advertised as working on the listing, and they could care less about the other items except making sure the sewage was working. While we did enjoy and make the best of it, wouldn't rent again.
