„Great place. Great beer, good food, good breakfast, comfortable room and friendly service“

„What a cracking pub. What more do you want from a place to stay than have a legendary boozer right below you. The land lady was very friendly and polite, rooms were basic but clean and perfect for my needs. They do a cracking pint downstairs too. Staying again next week for work it was that good and the prices resonable.“

„Sauberes Zimmer, aber nicht mehr der Standard für 2026.“

„Essen-Top, Bedienung-Top, Chef und Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer-klein aber fein“

„Very nice family owned hotel with only 2 rooms. The hotel runs also an pub, what is a great place to be and drink“

„Could not stay in our room during the evening as a very noisy party was taking place downstairs. We were not prepared of the function, but staff did attempt to get the noise reduced, and offered us a complimentary drink in the bar. This however meant we could not use our room, or get an early night. A pity, as otherwise good value and good food.“

„Cute lodge with friendly staff! Short walk to Sherwood Forest.“

„It was fine , definitely tired and has seen better days but for the price it was perfectly reasonable and clean.“

„Beautiful hotel and staff“

„Room was clean and comfortable but starting to show signs of needing attention (worn through couch covers, split pillow case) the TV didnt want to turn on and there has been a downgrade in the bathroom amenities from the baylis & harding i loved. Parking was plentiful“

„Great place to stay. I enjoyed the food in the tavern. The room was not large, but the bed and the bathroom were very good. “

„Very comfortable, responsive staff, clean and quiet room. The shower insert was a bit unpredictable but that was a minor inconvenience. Good location. Food was good and affordable.“

„The hotel, the staff and the room were excellent. The Pub itself was great as well. Nice selection of drinks and food. “

„The room opens directly onto the carpark, which was great as it made it easy to unload/load the car, also we could keep the door open so cool down the room (it was hot when we stayed). The staff were friendly and helpfully. Each nigh we were asked to prebook our breakfast, stating what time we wanted it, the following morning the breakfast was waiting for us perfectly cooked.“

„Father and son stopover after two days of hiking during a long drive home. The Wellington Hotel was exactly what we needed — easy check‑in, no fuss, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, and a genuinely tasty breakfast that set us up for the rest of the journey. Simple, welcoming, and spot‑on. Highly recommended.“

„In summary we would possibly stay again but definitely not eat there!! Lovely large room and comfortable king size bed had a good nights sleep, tea and coffee in room and shower was good however limited menu in pub (Marston’s) especially for vegetarians, we had an evening meal and breakfast both were poor quality and therefore not good value. We had booked and messaged property through Expedia to say we were bringing our dog but this message didn’t get sent to them so when we arrived their 2 ...

„Excellent stay, friendly staff, excellent food.“
