Just perfect
This was an amazing property for our multi-generational family vacation. It is right by the lazy river and perfect for the kids. The elevator was helpful when we needed it. The interior of the property was well furnished and decorated. The exterior is well maintained.

Perfect condo for beach getaway

House was big enough to accommodate our family. Plenty of room to spread out. Plenty of pots and pans for cooking big family meals. Love Pointe West. Our teens had plenty to do, and it’s near good fishing. We had a great stay.

Best rental ever! Every year we rent a different house on the Texas coast. We won't need to search next year because we found our permanent south-coast home. So many little extras that made it feel just like home. Wonderful communications. Water views on 3 sides. Patio so comfortable we spent almost our whole time there. Comfortable beds with high thread-count sheets. Great TV for watching weekend games. We spent hours in lazy river and had family fun time playing corn hole. I'm already looking forward to next year's visit.

Perfect family spot
We were drawn to Pointe West because of the pools. We had two little ones with us and thought the beach might be short lived. The condo is nice and spacious. Accommodated our 5 adults and two children well. The kitchen was nicely set up with counters on both sides and three bathrooms was awesome! Short drive to the Beach Club but there was plenty of parking. If you have small ones and beach gear, we found having a wagon very necessary as it is quite a walk to the beach. We would stay here again.

Condo was perfect for our need to recharge. Kevin communicated from day one of booking explaining the amenities, what was in the condo. Viewing beach from balcony was so relaxing, we spent most of our waking hours there. Condo has beach theme, very nice. Would definetly return.

Retirement Party Get Away
When we arrived on Friday afternoon. Kevin the owner had everything in perfect condition with a little personal touch added. We could see both the ocean and the bay sides of the water. This is a corner unit, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The back balcony was very comfortable to sit on with our group of ladies. It overlooked the pool area. Such a beautiful sunset too. All the beds were comfortable. Each of us brought 2 beach towels to use for our time at the beach, and that was very helpful. Everyone in our group had such a wonderful they all want to bring their own families back to this place. Thanks, Kevin for your outstanding hospitality. Great memories were made at Casa deChanclas!

Amazing getaway!
A last minute getaway for the family that was amazing! The condo is very clean and nicely decorated. There was plenty of space for 3 adults and 3 children with room to spare. The porch is huge and the perfect space to watch the sunset. The condo is located above the bayside pool complex so very easy to get to. Kevin was so helpful with any questions or concerns we had. Would highly recommend this condo and cannot wait to return to Pointe West! Thank you.

Great Place to Stay
Very nice property where you can see both the bay and the beach. Things to consider...the balcony, while beautifully furnished, overlooks the very noisy pool. Not very relaxing. A visit to the beach requires a drive in the car or a golf cart. Even with those negatives, there was plenty of room and we loved ordering takeout from the Pointe restaurant. Very convenient and delicious food!

Everything was great except the air conditioner didn’t work when we first got there. The owner, Kevin, was very diligent about working to get that resolved, but we lost a couple of days in the meantime. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay an extra day to make up for lost time because the condo wasn’t available. Hopefully there will be a store closer to the neighborhood in the future. We’d love to return to try it again one day!!

The property was very nice and it had everything you’d need! I communicated with the owner a few different times and he always was quick to answer. You do have to drive a mile to get to the beach but it’s not a problem. My family loves the pools as well!

Everything was amazing. A wonderful condo surrounded by the best views...a perfect stay for the four of us. The home is so well equipped with everything you will need. Kevin, the owner sent us great instructions which were so helpful. The home is spacious and we absolutely loved the back balcony. Plenty of comfortable seating and so spacious, to watch all the birds over the bay. I took a great nap on the couch outside .😊 Great pool area for families and also wonderful paths to walk or ride your bike. We really don’t want to leave, but will remember it fondly for years to come.

Best vacation!
We loved this condo, it felt like home! The owners made sure everything was available for us and made us feel welcomed. The house is super clean and smelled great all the time. The beds are comfortable and clean. King size bed in one room ( master bathroom) Queen bed in the other room with a full bathroom. Full bed with a twin on top and a pull out bed in the third bedroom. Two living rooms with a pull out sofa in each room that becomes queen bed. The balcony has a beautiful view of the beach, it had lots of chairs, shaded and felt so cool because of the wind blowing all the time ( it’s a corner condo on the third floor) even though it was almost 100 degrees it felt so good to be on the balcony! I have two small kids (4 and 2 years old) and there was a lot of toys for them and for older kids as well. TVs in every single room! There are two swimming pools. One was walking distance ( less than a minute) with a lazy river that you could take your drinks to, and the other one was 2 minutes drive. They are both included with the wrist band you purchase. The house has lots of tubes and towels to use in the pool. And a clean washer and dryer! It’s one of the best vacations we had ( and we travel a lot). We will definitely book the same condo in the future :) Thank you Kevin Sorry for not being organized, I was trying to write things as they come to my mind!

Beautiful, spacious condo with a large balcony!
My husband, 5 year-old daughter and I came here for a quick long-weekend getaway with our friends and their 2 young kids. The condo size was perfect with two bedrooms w/ en-suite bathrooms for the adults and a large kids room where they each had their own bed. There was a third bathroom down the hall for the kids as well. The condo was beautifully decorated with 2 separate TV/living areas and a large kitchen that had all the utensils we needed for cooking meals. We spent most of our night time enjoying the large outdoor balcony playing cards and enjoying the view overlooking the lazy river pool. Condo is mere feet from the pool/hot tub and a very short drive to the beach club where we had direct access to the beach. The owners provided a locker full of beach items to use which was very nice as we did not have much. We had such a wonderful time and all the staff were very friendly at the beach club. This was one of the best vacations our family has ever taken! The owners were very gracious, informative and helpful, making sure we had all we needed. We will definitely be back and recommend this condo to our friends! Highly, highly recommend!

Perfect Beach Vacation Spot!
The listing describes the property very well. The pictures are accurate. You will NOT be disappointed! Where else can you stay and have a view not only of the bay but also of the gulf from your condo? It's absolutely beautiful! We would definitely recommend this to anyone considering a Galveston stay and we hope to stay there again in the future. The condo is beautiful and the community (Pointe West) where it's located is fantastic! It's located on the far west end of the island so it's not crowded (which is nice), but it's a bit of a drive to the main Galveston attractions. We didn't mind that at all. It's well worth the peace and quiet to make the drive to town. If you like the pictures, you will LOVE it in person. The hosts are amazing as well. They answered all of our questions and were very gracious. We've stayed in several VRBO/Evolve/Airbnb properties in multiple locations and this one is the best by far! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

Home away from home
This is our our second time to visit Pointe West. We try to make it down once a year. This rental you can see the sunrise, sunset, kids playing in the lazy river, and the guys fishing in Saint Louie's Pass (while you sip on a nice cold drink). The weather was perfect! We made some amazing memories and looking forward to coming back next year! It was home away from home. Bring clothes, food/drinks, beach towels and the fishing gear and you're set to go!
