Nice place with a few hiccups

Overall, we think the property was very appropriate for our needs. We got in late at night and had been given the wrong code to get the key, so had some frustration with crying babies trying to get in. Then when we went to give them a bath in the hallway tub, it wouldn’t hold water and had to pretty much do an old-fashioned flowing water bath. The second day found three people waking up to multiple fleabites, and we had to alert them of a flea infestation on the lower level. They were always very responsive to us and did get an exterminator out. Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay!

Renter Beware!!!

The property listing is false. The cooktop/oven at this property does not work and has not worked for some time as per older reviews. If you book this property, please understand that they have zero intention of fixing the stove. You will be given two tiny camping style burners to use. In addition an older review stated that the property had a water leak. That leak was very poorly fixed and you can feel the soft walls that indicate water still behind the walls. There is a very putrid smell present, especially on the bottom floor and in the garage. The dishes were put away filthy and we had to rewash most. The keurig even after I cleaned it was unusable. Very few “basic essentials” will be provided at this property. We stayed a week and even had to purchase trash bags and toilet paper, paper towels, sponges and dish soap, salt etc. The check-in process was not the easiest due to reception issues and communication being almost exclusively through email. Using the VRBO chat system resulted in 2 hour wait times for responses. There are also a total of 3 flights of stairs at this property. I did not feel that was advertised accurately. You will be walking up and down stairs a lot and the stairs get very slick with sand. During our stay we were finally able to locate a broom under cobwebs in the corner of the garage to use for sand clean up. We also located a small vacuum that was unusable due to a rotten fish smell when you turned it on. We cleaned the filter to no avail.

Love this House!

Our only complaint is that they don’t allow you to use the elevator. The last time we stayed we could use the elevator which is a huge convenience with luggage & groceries as the stairs are steep & this is home is 4-stories. Otherwise, the place was awesome.

Stove never worked......Elevator does not work...

The stove never worked! although we were told it would be fixed....couldn't make breakfast. One key reason families rent places like this is to be able to cook.

Clean with Beautiful View, Maintenance Needs Improvement

The Good: Views, Location, Beautiful Home, Cleanliness The Bad: Elevator not working. Kitchen range not working. A couple door handles fell off, Master shower not draining, Guest bath drain broke (unable to plug to fill tub), wall damage & visible mold in entry, kitchen could be better stocked (no sponge or rag provided, no potholders). Overall we enjoyed our stay but disappointing that the house is not being taken care of from a maintenance perspective. Messages were received and responded to but not super timely and clearly just being relayed by a porter service company not the actual owner or property manager. To the Owner -- you have a beautiful home and you are not getting your money's worth from your property management company!

Galveston Review

The property location was great proximity to east beach. The property has recently had a water leak and the garage/game area smelled bad of mildew and mold so the kids could not play. The cleaning crew did not secure the exterior balcony door stops so the first night the whole condo was full of bugs including on the beds. Could not turn on the lights. The management company was excellent to work with offering another rental, however we were there for an even at east beach so didnt make sense to move until the maintenance came to fix the issue the next day. In addition, the elevator was not advertised as broken either and we rented this because we had an adult who needed assistance up the stairs. All in all location and safety were nice, just the advertisement was somewhat of a lie.
