The house fit our family perfectly! We enjoyed the veiw and the screened in porch. We saw bear at the cabin which was a highlight. Our children loved the house and going to the pool. Thank you for letting us stay at this cabin and make special memories!!
The place was okay but we had a lot of problemsDryer was super loud when started it quieted down after a few minutes of use.The screened in porch had holes in the screen The hot tub controls are peeled up and only worked half the time And we kept having problems with bears trying to tear up the grill.
Like the property it could have been cleaner. There were some large cobwebs on bedroom ceiling and in living room and the comforters had a odor.We did however enjoyed seeing the black bear in the back yard.
We had a wonderful time with our girls!! We actually saw some momma bears and some cubs on the first day. The cabin was great and perfect for the family! We loved the deck and hubby loved the hot tub! The girls had a blast with the foosball table and the arcade games! Great family memories!
First, the host, Ed, was fantastic and very responsive when we had an issue with one of our neighbors. Unfortunately, there are multiple cabins in very close proximity to one another, and so you are afforded very little privacy. The cabin itself is fine, but be aware that it is quite dated. Also, it was apparent that some things had not been cleaned, namely the upstairs shower. Nothing was too off-putting, however. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a rental unit, which was awesome after a long day of hiking! Finally, this cabin is an approximately 30 minute drive to Gatlinburg, so be prepared if you want to go into town. Overall, not a bad place to stay if you don't mind a bit of a drive and having close neighbors.
This was a great stay. The cabin is a little dated in decor, but completely functional with super comfy beds with good quality cotton sheets. Everything is there to cook dinner or breakfast, even a gas grill. My tweens were totally excited about the foosball table, the multi arcade game and the bunk beds. Gatlinburg is just a few miles away after the drive down the mountain. But the location is the best!! We would definitely return to this cabin.
My family and I stayed at the Mountscape cabin for a few days while cabin Gatlinburg. The cabin was true to it's listing. Spacious for our family of 4, yet cozy. It has lots of original character. Communication with the property owner Ed was easy, access to the cabin was a breeze. The only thing that was not up to standard was the cleaniness. The basics were done, clean towels, freah linen, empty trash cans. However, the stove was dirty with crumbs of food, bathroom sinks had hair in them, cabin was not swept. The downstairs bathroom had press-on nails on the floors, top of the fridge was dust covered, front of fridge and dish washer was dirty, empty cans left on the back porch. There were no basic cleaning supplies available to wipe things down. We did not spend a ton of time in the cabin, so we did our best to clean what we could and ignore the rest. Overall, the stay was good. The property is beautiful. Cleaning could definitely use improvement, especially since quest pay a cleaning fee.
We surprised the kids with a 4 night getaway to Gatlinburg. My husband and boys have never been to Tennessee, so we went to Ripleys Aquarium, Ober mountain, visited some local eateries, and had a wine tasting at Tennessee Wines (the Blackberry wine is amazing). The arcade was an instant hit for the boys and husband. The cabin was very nice, clean, and easy to find. Unfortunately, we did see any bears to my four years old dismay, so we will have to come back to fulfill that wish.
The cabin was just as advertised, cabin was very clean and comfortable. The host had the cabin already decorated with Christmas tree and in season decore. Beautiful place to stay.
We really enjoyed the property we got to see a mama bear with three Cubs in the yard next door it was really a once in a lifetime experience televisions worked good there was enough dishes everything seemed good
We decided to book this cabin and stay for 2 nights with our 3 and 1 year old boys to break up a long drive to the beach. Once we found it, (directions were fine, but the windy roads made us nervous in the rain) we were able to find plenty of food nearby, we had a very short drive into the park. The biys loved the bunk beds, video games, and foosball table!
For the price it was very well worth it. There are facets that are a tad dated or worn but the home had everything we needed. Great hub for exploring Gatlinburg.
It was a beautiful cabin, we will definitely be going back. The only thing that was a bit different than the ad when i booked it, was there shouldve been a spot to toast some marshmallows but there wasnt however it is understandable due to the forest fire not too long ago we couldnt be mad and with the view haha. We will definitely be going back as soon as we can.
