My girlfriend and I had a blast here! Great spot for the dog too! The “pond” is very large for a pond as well could easily call it a lake and that made for very good times ! Great host and communication as well !

Lovely Lake

We absolutely loved the space inside and out, and had an amazing time taking the trail down to the lake. The cabin is so clean and well stocked with cook ware and dishes!

Les points forts : Arrivée, communication, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
The owners were nice enough to let us check in early due to combination of very hot weather and no traffic which made for an earlier than expected arrival. This place is a great place if you are young enough to climb up a very steep set of chairs to get to the loft. This would have posed a problem for us 'not so young' who had concerns about going down the syairs at night to go to the bathroom. There were also lots of medium sized ants that were all over the place, from the counters to the futon to the floor. Not an infestation but we killed about 20 a day. They definitely need to invest in a new frying pan as well ans do not bring a lot of food because the refrigerator is very tiny. Owners declare this is a 5 star VRBO but we would give it 2-3 stars at the most.

Gloversville Retreat with Patio & Lake Access

Enjoyed the absolute quiet, hiking trail, pond and kayaks. No calling/texting connection; could email with wifi. Experienced power outage, which came on end of day except wifi remained out.

Poor description of the property.

First few hours were good, then no water! It's hard to take a shower or even wash hands! If I knew about it I would definitely go somewhere else.

Rustic cabin

Cabin is rustic, steep steps to loft which contains the beds and raw wood roofing. (cannot stand in the loft). Also, water from faucets is for showering and doing dishes only, you must use the dispenser water for drinking and cooking. Had a problem with septic and draining just before leaving but owner came to fix issue when notified. Lastly, the cabin is up the hill (owners cabin at bottom of hill at lakeside), but you have access to the lake, canoes, kayaks, etc.
