We received an email from the property management team while traveling instructing us to:
1) go to one address, pick up keys
2) go to second location, the location of the rental. Turns out, they sent us the wrong instructions, so, after 25 hours of flights, we were at the wrong hotel for the keys the property management company put in the lock box for us.
Upon several calls to the emergency line for the property management company, we were instructed to head to a different address, the original one we thought we booked.
Since we did not have the proper instructions, we did not have the code to the apartment. We could not find a keyhole, we were exhausted, sitting in a hot hallway waiting for help that did not come. After an hour at least of messing with the lock for quite a while we found the hidden location to put the key in. Would have been nice to have those instructions.
The beds in the second room were unusable. The couch has tape on it to cover a rip, the blind was stained & ripped at the bottom. The dryer did not work that was listed as an amenity and the air conditioning worked for a bit then cut out.
Also there were many cockroaches in the apartment.
While most of the staff were pleasant enough, none of the issues with the unit were rectified in the 2 weeks we stayed there.
We also met another gentleman who encountered the same problem with the check in routine who was stuck outside the building for 2.5 hours.
