Never trust them!

The OYO in Goodland no longer exists. It is now under new management and will be operating under a different name. Hopefully the new management plans to give it a thorough overhaul because the room we had was dirty and everything is very worn

We have stayed at this property before, about a year ago. I was surprised to see how the hotel has gone downhill. We had great memories there but will not return. The hotel's sauna, hot tub jets, movie theatre, and half the arcade games were out of service. The restaurant was closed as well. We were disappointed.

The property promises a cooked to order hot breakfast. I was given a granola bar and packet of apple sauce. The hotel also had a bunch of what looked like homeless people hanging around the back of the hotel, didn't feel great about leaving my car unattended.

Rooms are outdated. Also trash cans outside the building were to over flowing and no attempt was made to empty the trash receptacles. Junkyard more or less behind the hotel. Very run down and will not be staying here again

Good price but could use some work.
Good place for an overnight stay. Needs some work. The view from our window was the family fun center. We had to figure out a way to get flow from the air conditioner into the room without keeping the curtain open and allowing those swimming to look into our room. It was clean enough but the hot water faucet leaks. It has leaked for quite a while based on the water stain in the sink. No vending machines. We arrived around seven and had to go elsewhere to get a bottle of water. The breakfast was better than most...eggs made to order with bacon and toast...although the poor girl working there was not very friendly.

Love the pool
We loved our stay here. The indoor pool area is amazing. We got a room that had its own door to the pool area. There's an arcade area and a restaurant that gives you a choice of a couple different breakfasts free in the morning.

Don't even get what you pay for
Terrible service, attendant no where to be found and was apparently sleeping. Was told hot breakfast and was offered yogurt and granola bar instead. Overall very poor experience

The room I reserved was not ready and I was there after check-in time. I had to carry all my bags up 2 flights of stairs. While I’m in decent health, my knees aren’t the best and I would have asked for a first floor room had I known no elevator was available. Also, dog that was staying at the property was barking off and on.

AMAZING stay, my family absolutely LOVED this OYO!
INCREDIBLE!!!! I travel a lot & stay in 30-40 motels/hotels per year. I'm 47 & can safely say this OYO in Goodland is the best value I've ever experienced. Every employee we dealt with was friendly & kind. It is conveniently located by a Walmart, restaurants & gas station. The rooms are about average for what one would expect from a budget hotel. The beds were comfortable but the amenities....awesome! They had a very nice, large clean pool. A hot tub. An indoor slide, foosball table, air hockey, free arcade (my kids LOVED this), 2 pool tables. Breakfast was unbelievable. They have an AMAZING attached restaurant & they made my 2 kids and I a freshly made breakfast of 2 eggs, choice of ham/bacon/sausage & choice of toast/pancakes/biscuits & gravy with a choice of multiple beverages. I was stunned at this place. If you are staying anywhere in Western Kansas, go to this Goodland OYO, you will not regret it!!!

Car trouble forced an unexpected stay in Goodland and frankly we chose this hotel because of the pricepoint. We were pleasantly surprised that is overdelivered on our expectations. It was clean and quiet, the pool area with hot tub and pool tables and kids playground, looked great. Water was very hot with good pressure. And bonus, it came with a hot breakfast including drink from the restaurant attached, which was delicious. It sits far enough from the interstate to avoid that noise - a concern with the other options. It was a great value and comfortable stay.

When I checked in the lady was friendly. I booked this hotel to keep the kids busy in the evening. The pool and play area looked great, and the arcade looked appealing. When I checked in the front desk lady told me the heater had gone down in the pool the day before but the hot tub was out of service and had been for a long time. She said the kids could swim if they didn’t think it was too cold and to just have them rinse off before hand. We did just so after checking the temp of the pool. When we went back down the front deals lady and someone else who appeared to live at the hotel told us the pool was completely down! This was within 10 minutes time!! My kids were devastated. So we tried to make thw best of it and do the arcade. Most of the machines didn’t even work. It was like they said what they needed to, to get my money and then BAM. Everything no workie! Breakfast is not a continental breakfast! It’s a voucher for the restaurant. Should have booked the quality inn across the road where the rest of the wrestling team stayed!!

Why lie?
This stay was VERY disappointing. We called before making the reservation a couple of days prior to our planned stay to make sure the hot tub was working. When we get there, change into our swimwear, walk out and the hot tub is NOT WORKING! When we called the front desk we were informed the hot tub hasn't been working in about a week and a half! UNBELIEVABLE! Why were we lied to? What purpose did that serve? The one good thing, which was a pretty major improvement from our last stay, was the full, hot breakfast. The 2 young men running the new/remodeled restaurant were cheerful and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious with a nice selection. The breakfast saved us leaving with a bad taste in our mouth for the Goodland OYO. ;-)

A decent night’s stay
Customer service was friendly and helpful. Place needs remodeling. Shower pressure was poor (shower head needed replaced), beds had dog hair and sheets were stained. Fridge was not cold. Bed was nice and firm though.

The heater in the hot tub was out but we were told the pool was working, it was not! It was ice cold. Additionally our towels had holes in them, and house keeping had not cleaned out the fridge in the room in a while. When we went down for extra towels there was nobody to be found at 8pm though we rang the bell 3 times. The same was true of breakfast in the morning trying to get refills on coffee. The plus side the restaurant is really nice and had great selections and ice cream.

No one was at front desk to check us in - there was a sign that said ‘Back in 15 minutes’, but we finally had to ring a bell and another staff member had to go find the clerk. Room was not real clean - floor was dirty, hair on pillow case, bathroom not clean.

Arrived on Aug 31, Clerk said she would have to cancel my reservation for 1 Sept and issue new reservation for 31 Aug. Met the hotel policy for notice of cancellation but charges for two days appeared on my credit card statement. I departed the hotel on 1 Sept 2022 staying only one day.
