This property was a great location and just right for us and our friends. The historical square and the Moments in Time Walking trail were very convenient. The property manager was very responsive to our questions and the few needs that we had.

My family and I stayed at Lala’s House so we could attend Family Weekend at Tarleton. We loved the house and walking into the square for dinner’s in the evening. It was an overall great weekend!

Just What We Were Looking For

We really enjoyed our stay here for two nights at the end of December. They had thought of everything we wanted - a warm, welcoming, historic home with bedside tables and lamps, places to plug in phones, blackout shades in the bedrooms, comfortable beds, and a relaxing environment. We enjoyed being able to walk to town and our dog enjoyed the backyard.

Perfection

Took my mom and daughters for a weekend trip to celebrate my oldest daughter turning 30. We immediately fell in love with the property. The history everywhere and the details just kept giving. We were able to walk to the square to shop and eat. It really was a perfect girls weekend.

Great Family Time

This property had everything set up and ready to go for a carefree and relaxed family weekend. Property was immaculate and had unexpected conveniences like white noise machines for sleeping, many towels, and extra electrical plugs. The house and backyard were set up for visiting and beds were big and comfortable.

So cute and great location

Super cute remodeled/refurbished historic home in great location near the square in Granbury! They thought of everything. There was a handwritten note and basket of snacks waiting for us when we checked in, and the bathrooms and kitchens were well stocked with all the necessities. The beds were comfortable, and the property manager was prompt with responses when we had questions. Would definitely stay there again.

Great property! Exactly what we were looking for.

It is a beautifully updated house with strong local historical ties. There are many great restaurants and opportunities for live music within a very short walk of the property. We seldom even took our car out of the driveway. We will definitely book this house again if we find ourselves back in Granbury.

Historic charm

This is a beautiful, historic home in the edge of the Granbury downtown square. The home is complete with photos of early family residents hung on the wall. Very nice touch. The home was ready for us when we arrived and in perfect condition. Things were as expected and easy to find. I will definitely stay here again when I return the Granbury to visit my grandsons.

Beautifully updated historical home in ideal location!

Superb local management team! Very welcoming and personalized. Extremely clean and tidy house. Extra attention was given to the smaller details like labeling lights, extra outlets on bedside tables, nice bathroom soaps, coffee bar, informative and interesting welcome book. Even if you aren't a fan of historical homes, this one has a perfect blend of old with new. The location was ideal for walking around the square and visiting everything. We would love to stay again.

Enchanting Historic Cottage!

What an absolute gem of a little place! From the moment you drive up to Lala’s Place—WOW!—the sweet character of this home is evident! In this charming cottage, wonderful colors and contemporary touches are perfectly blended with beautiful original vintage details. Photos of the owners’ family, who once lived here, are proudly displayed in the dining room, which add a sense of “home.” The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are well-appointed with all the amenities needed, and the quirky upstairs 3-bed “dorm” is just FUN! The nice back yard is a great place to hang out, with rockers and a fire pit. AND this jewel is only a short block-and-a-half walk from Granbury’s historic courthouse square! This is the perfect house for a family getaway, a friends’ shopping trip, a siblings’ reunion, etc. You won’t want to go home! Delightful!

Quaint Getaway for Family

Our family (all adults) wanted to spend some time with another family member in Granbury, TX. We were thrilled to find this Victorian home within walking distance of the historic town square. Check-in was a breeze, and communication with the host was excellent. Since we were only staying a short time, we had breakfast at Paradise Bistro and Coffee (highly recommend) on the square. The living room allowed for our family to sit and chat, watch TV, or even learn to knit (they provided the yarn and knitting needles, plus a couple of websites to check out). There are two bathrooms on the ground level--one with a clawfoot tub (might be a challenge for those with mobility issues) and one with a walk-in shower (perfect for anyone). They have a Ring camera for extra security and they even provided complimentary snacks. We felt very safe walking around town and checking out the shops. Would stay here again.

When we arrived, there was an awful smell in the kitchen. It seems they have had a long standing water leak or some kind of sewage problem. It smelled that way the whole weekend and never really aired out. One of the bathrooms had trash on the floor and hair on the shower glass and floor that we cleaned up. The listing says two full bathrooms. One of them is tiny with a small tub and shower sprayer. The sprayer does not attach to the wall. It is a hand held sprayer. So yes, it will due in a pinch but not very convenient. The location was fantastic and the house had some nice little touches - noise machines in the room, charging strip by the beds for phones and other devices. It was a cute little house, it just needed a little more attention.
