„This is my 2nd time staying at the Station Lodge. You can't beat the price, the location and both times I've stayed I had nice large rooms. It's literally across the street from the train station, and as this is the last stop on the train you literally don't hear any sounds from the train. AND the trailhead for the Orett trail is also literally across the street. This trail spiders out to many other trails. There are a ton of restaurants, shops, pubs and the awesome grocery store with a cafe ...

„Never received the check in details 24 hours before so couldn’t risk taking the family and I had to do a 5 hour round trip to go get them, we didn’t have any hot water for the first 24 hours. The mattress in the main bedroom was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on and after the first night slept in the lounge, also there isn’t a table so they provide 4/5 small tables to eat off but 1 of these had 2 missing legs and another’s legs were about to fall off. This might be ok for a couple ...

The lodge is awesome and communication with Margaret the host is incredible, she responded to every email I sent asking questions about the area and generously offered us an extra night as we had to cancel our other stay due to ill health. „Great place to stay for a break, the caravan layout was ideal and the kitchen had all the facilities needed to cook meals etc., Having a shower/toilet and a separate toilet makes this property ideal for families. Cleanliness was of a very good standard and quality bedding provided. The location was quiet but within a few miles of towns and local pubs and eateries if you wanted to go off site. I would stay again.“

„No better place for a relaxing time. Nicely located for a trip into the lakes if required. Extremely clean and Mark very helpful with good communication and doing all he could for us. Only negative it says hot tub which we wrongly assumed would be at the cabin - however I assume he is referring to the jacuzzi in the swimming area and I feel this should be highlighted. I had a disabled family member with me who was looking forward to this, but wasn't confident going into the pool. Will ...

"The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet connection broke down every night. The location is great, but there's some work to do to bring it back to its standard. "
