6/10 Satisfaisant

The hotel is nice with a great, free breakfast but unfortunately poorly managed. We arrived late after a 10-hour drive and were hungry so we tried to order room service only to find out it was suspended for the Holidays. I was able to order take out from the bar; but, of course, they still charged me the 15% mandatory delivery fee + tip. The room was 80 degrees when we arrived so I tried to call down to the front desk; but it was answered by a automated agent who could not respond to my request and stated that no front desk agents were available so another trip down stairs (apparently adjusting the room temp requires a visit from a maintenance tech). Also in the room, the TV was annoying in that it would stream local channels for about 5 minutes before freezing up and requiring a restart. I watched an entire football game that way re-setting maybe 30 times over the game. The posted Pet Policy is also out of date with the actual pet fee of $125 per stay (vs the $75 that was posted). I was not told about this, I found out via the emailed receipt long after checkout. Despite a huge parking lot which was 10-20% full they did charge a nightly fee for parking at the hotel. Lastly, this is the only Embassy Suites that does not offer Hilton Honors Points for perks of any kind for Gold Members. Apparently unless you book via Hilton directly, they will not accept your Hilton Honors number or allow you to accumulate points at this hotel. With all of this I'm not likely to return.
