Great overnight stay prior to starting Road to Hana
Super convenient to start Road to Hana and the owner was super responsive when I had a few questions. Would definitely stay here again should we come back to Maui and do R to H.
Nice little property, in a lovely neighborhood. Place was clean with a recently remodeled kitchen area. Only complaint is there are 2 lovely little balconies on the back and front, but with no chairs (there was 1 broken bench that I didn't trust), we couldn't sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! Aside from that, great stay!
I dont think my family and I are the target audience for this place. If you are a couple or solo "backpacker" type traveler looking for a budget option this might be a place for you. I wouldnt recommend for families with children.Positives: The manager Mo, was very responsive and kind. The unit has had a kitchen renovation which looks great. Bed was comfortable and the towels were soft.Negatives: besides the kitchen, the place feels worn out. Couch was not the same as pictured on the listing, it was much older and the sleeper portion of it was terrible. Shower just felt dirty. I know it was cleaned, but again just back to the place feeling worn out. Property grounds felt kind of overrun. The listing photos dont match the living room or bathroom. There are several units within this building and I dont think that the listings on Vrbo quite match. The manager did grant us an early checkin which was much appreciated although there seemed to be some miscommunication amongst the management team on that approval. Again, this could be a great place for the right crowd or if they continue to upgrade.
Overall enjoyed our stay in Haiku. The apartment was spacious enough for our needs. It was equipped with basic kitchen appliances for a 1 week stay. The pullout sofa bed left much to be desired in terms of comfort (my daughter slept on it without issues, but I think most adults would find it difficult to get a good nightâs sleep on it). The bedroom itself was comfortable enough though. Additionally, our host was communicative and responded to any needs that arose during our stay. We would definitely stay here again
We had a really nice stay with Floyd. He was very responsive and helpful for any questions wet had. The property was great, very relaxing and had everything we needed. It was really convenient to the road to Hana. We would definitely stay here affinity!
Apartment was clean and well equiped. Good location for exploring the road to Hana and all the waterfalls. Any queries answered really quickly by Floyd. Only issue was check in as we didnât receive the email and there is a diacrepancy in ime between website 3pm and hot 4pm.We had to make international call (UK residents) in order to get chech in detailsCheck in states 3 on lising but 4 from host,
We were visiting friends in Haiku, so this was a great location for us to crash at night and go out during the day. The space was very clean and nice, with a new kitchen. The only issue we had was that we never received a welcome message with check-in instructions, but we contacted the host and they solved the problem for us promptly. Overall, an excellent property!
If you want the real Maui, the rustic and cultural side, then book here. Neighbors are super friendly and gave us a ride to the airport when our car broke down. Beautiful location.
Check in was successful despite the address change. The hosts had a long had a long list of requests for their stay. There wasnât any cleaning service available during our week stay and there wasnât any cleaning supplies. There was a 48 hour service request required. I recommend getting that request in early. The stove had one small working burner, the other three were inoperative. The kitchen can use some updates, as well as newly stocked utensils. We were missing a can opener and limited number of kitchen items. The location was nice for traveling the island.
