Dreadful

The room was next to the busiest road in Henley and was very noisy, hot and unpleasant. There were no staff just a barman who didn’t know what he was doing. The breakfast was paltry and seemed to be cooked in a cupboard behind the bar. The whole place needs refurbishing, it’s not old world charm it’s just shabby. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location

Staff worked hardt to make our stay enjoyable. Very laid back aire. Great location to take in regatta or enjoy a pint.

Great location - Great hospitality.

The Rose & Crown has a good friendly atmosphere and very helpful friendly owner. He was excellent and welcoming host. The pub is very clean with a lovely garden area to the back - a sun trap secluded away from the main road. The Rose & Crown is just a few yards from the River, is near all the shops, other restaurants and amenities and in my opinion is value for money.

Really lovely little pub, very friendly staff. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Very nice breakfast too! Highly recommended.

Central and convenient

We were allowed to book in early as I was on training day and partner wanted to get sorted. Room was good. Breakfast excellent and at a time to suit us. Check out not rushed. Definitely will return.

I stayed at the Rose & Crown for one night on a Thursday. A great location in a lovely town. The room was clean, freshly decorated and at the front of the pub over the bar. There was a little bit of traffic noise through the sash windows, but this was very intermittent and stopped around 11pm. It's not a busy road at that time of night. Couldn't hear any noise from the bar. Adam the manager was very cheery and pleasant, and was happy to make me breakfast to order for 7am. Free WiFi was a bonus. Would definitely stay again.

At the price I paid it was excellent, most other places in Henley want double. Great room, mega breakfast. Defiantly staying again.

A great little hotel

Great hotel, great location. The manger was very friendly and gave some good recommendations about where to eat and things To do locally. I would defenatley stay there again.

Half baked

Nice room, recently renovated. Very small TV not working. No bedside tables and poor lighting for reading. Hard pillows. Good shower and bathroom. Good bar downstairs but noise permeates up and closing time proved moveable. First morning no-one turned up to prepare breakfast. After phoning a couple of numbers my wife managed to rouse someone to do the honours, eventually got breakfast around 10am. We stayed 2 nights but no attention to room between nights meant we ran out of teabags and milk.

We were more than pleased with our stay in your hotel. The chef needs strong complimentation. Watching him at work showed his dedication and pleasure he has in his food preparation. We will be back if only just to sit and enjoy his meals and have made recommendation to all we were associated with during our stay from Australia

hard to leave

what a great stay. we had a lovely time in Henley and much of it due to the superb staff at the Rose and Crown. we would go back in a heartbeat, and hated to leave.

Great Pub style hotel for couples or business

Our experience was awesome at the hotel, a fantastic town centre location, clean & well appointed rooms and superb breakfast. The Owners were also great fun. We had a very nice time there & would thoroughly recommend.

The Rose & Crown, Henley-on-Thames

Other than a rocky start upon arrival (there was no record of my reservation) my stay at the Rose & Crown was very pleasant. The staff was helpful and friendly, my room was warm and the bed very comfortable. I thought the room rates rather expensive but Henley is an expensive town! I was able to order exactly what I wanted for breakfast the night before - the food was plentiful and the croissants delicious. Overall I was happy with everything and would stay there again.

Quirky but pleasant

A somewhat quirky inn. That said, the room was fine and clean and comfortable. Somewhat odd was the fact that breakfast started at 0830 so he laid out some cereal and a sandwich for me for my 0730 breakfast. I couldn't get the lights in the breakfast room to turn on though. Mid winter on Monday was very quiet; I guess in summer during the regatta would bevery different.

Rose & Crown Henley - No Parking Facilities

This is basically a pub with a few rooms above it. The room was very compact for a double and i cannot imagine 2 people in there. My main issue was the lack of parking facilities it was a real issue for me. That said the service was good and friendly and the breakfast was immence, I have never eaten 3 sausages in my life let alone for breakfast, but better too much than too little.

Rose and Crown in Henly

We had such a great stay, rooms were clean, pub was fantasic, and the big English breakfast was really big, thank you for such a lovey stay, the staff was super. You may be lucky and get to play cards in the pub. Street rooms slightly noisy, ask for a room off the street. Henly is a must see town.
