Hotel Highland

« The Don Q is well-known for the specialty (novelty?) rooms. We stayed there last night because we had tickets to an area event. The lobby includes a huge fireplace with a dozen or so older barber’s chairs. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet - it had all the items you would expect - executed just a bit better than average. There are quirky things about the amenities. The layout of our room included an old tub/cheese vat that had not been used in many years. The bathroom sink was...

« The room was clean and well serviced. »

« There was garbage all over the property. Fridge in the room didn't get very cold. The ice machine was leaking water all over and no one cleaned it up, snack vending machine was pretty much empty. Couldn't use the pool or hot tub because it was drained- they claimed that it was empty because they're renovating in a month. Definately wouldn't recommend staying there and won't ever stay there again. »

« Nice place »

« We had a non- smoking room that smelled like smoke. There was still ashes on the bed nightstand. I told the front desk to make sure we would not be charged a cleaning fee and they did not seem to care. Room looked nothing like it did in the pictures and is in need of updating and repairs. Carpet was old, stained and had holes in spots. Inside of kitchen cabinets had dead bugs and garbage and looks like it has not been cleaned in years. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Beds were...

« Hôtel complètement deshuet nécessitant un rafraîchissement complet… Pour le petit déjeuner: passez votre tour! Aliment sous film plastique de piètre qualité et très peu de choix. Sauf si vous êtes amateur de tortilla et de burritos? »

« N/A »

« Room was clean and everything was in good condition. They only do housekeeping on a limited day schedule so it's good to be aware of that. We asked for a change of towels and that was promptly taken care of. Yes, they serve breakfast and it's the usual for these kind of places. We're not a fan but managed to find something to have. Overall, the place was good and I’d recommend it for a stay in the area, assuming you don't book under demand pricing, which can be quite high for the area. »

« Thank you! »

« it was a great experience. no hot tub, just a pool but really nice. »

« Super endroit pour les familles grace au parc aquatique. Personnel tres accueillant. Tres bonne adresse, dommage, assez pauvre en restaurants dans les environs immédiats. »

« The whole house was very welcoming. Mary, the owner and hostess, was there when I arrived and gave me "the Grand Tour". I pretty much had the whole downstairs to myself. Breakfast was amazing, and Mary and I had a very nice conversation. I would definitely go back if the occasion arises. »
