First the pros: It was a well laid out unit with lots of space. It could work well with multi-generation family as each bedroom has its own bathroom, including the one on the lower level. Location was good, and it was an easy walk to the beach or Coligny Circle. Pool was nice, though not heated so too cold for lots of swimming in early April. Kitchen is big, and we enjoyed the large island/dining counter.
Then the cons: It was not clean and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, to the point that all our stuff smelled smoky when we got home. I wiped surfaces down with a Clorox wipe upon arriving and each table and counter came back with visible junk, some of which had to be scrubbed off. Broken glass and cigarette burns on table in the living room. Used bladder leak pad in laundry room garbage (along with other garbage). I felt the need to wash all the bedding before we slept there, and we had to wear shoes or socks on the carpet, which is in really bad shape throughout. Bathrooms were OK, but really needed a deeper clean with marked up walls and hairy corners. Stairwell was actually gross with drips along all the walls and visible dirt and grime on the handrail. Back deck was nice and big with dining table, but everything was covered with grime and mold...totally understandable in the South in the Spring, (we're from here) but this was neglected-level dirty.
I normally don't leave critical reviews, but I find the three reviews on here to be somewhat misleading. This place does not feel "recently renovated" in the pure wear and tear on everything, and particularly post-COVID the low level of cleanliness was not OK. I'd look elsewhere...and given the massive complex this place is located in I have the feeling better options could be right down the way.
