Mellow on the Beach is a gem. It was everything that was advertised and more. It was spotless and a great location on the beach plus close proximity to shopping. The pool area is great for after being on the beach for the end of the day. Communication was great.

This place was AMAZING!!! Being right on the beach was wonderful, the room was immaculate and cutely decorated. There are lots of restaurants close by. It was also so nice to be able to bring our fur babies!!!

Reviewer Comments: Stayed here with our two kiddos for a long weekend - Slo M’ocean was perfect - enough room for everyone, balconies overlooking the beach, right by the beach access point and outdoor shower. We loved AMI and Mello was the perfect home base for our fam, we made use of the kitchen + laundry, beach amenities and pool daily. Will be back for sure!

It is small and a bit tight for a two week stay, but not bad. The bed was comfortable but not great. We felt that the nit could have been cleaned once during our stay for the price we paid. Otherwise the unit and the stay were great. Be aware, all prices on Anna Maria have risen including meals out. Having a full kitchen is a help to lower your vacation costs.

A Must Stay Hotel on Anna Maria Island

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I couldn't recommend Mello on the Beach more! Our stay was absolutely incredible, and we were thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail. The staff truly excel at creating a unique experience. We opted for the Slow M'ocean room and were treated to a breathtaking view of the ocean while still enjoying privacy amongst the trees. The proximity to the beach, coupled with the option of the pool, made for a perfect retreat. The grounds are immaculate, and the overall ambiance was incredible. Additionally, the hotel's location makes exploring the island convenient, with bikes or the trolley easily accessible. A definite perk was the convenient parking spot near Holmes Beach. Although we didn't catch his name, one service worker stood out for his exceptional friendliness, adding an extra layer of warmth to our experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mello on the Beach is an adorable low-density motel-style accommodation that sits on Manatee Beach in Anna Maria Island. Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The decor of the room and the entire complex is adorable! The fact that they supply a beach umbrella and two chairs, along with a cooler, is Wonderful. The beach itself was extremely crowded while we were there, as it is right on the public access point. We had to walk quite a ways down to find a spot away from the crowd, but the views were lovely. We had an end unit in the complex because we thought we would be able to sit on the balcony and watch the waves, but could only see a very small bit of the actual ocean through the foliage and with the sea breeze blocked, it was mosquito-y. The pool was clean but small, and the water was bathtub warm, not surprising for July, but be aware. Anna Maria Island was also far more crowded than I expected, as what I had read in articles promoting it all talked about how quiet and undiscovered it was! Obviously, those articles have made it less “undiscovered” lol. Restaurants and stores and fun shopping places were all very convenient and the food was good wherever we went. All in all, we had an absolutely wonderful time in spite of the negatives. I would recommend mello on the beach if you don’t mind a less secluded place!

Perfect Vacation!

It started before we left, with email messages providing excellent helpful information for our stay. Especially awesome was their tip to use Coastline for pickup at the airport. The property description was accurate with the location layout and amenities. This place is truly a hidden gem! Everything in our place for small appliances, dishes, etc was brand new. The decor was beautiful. We especially liked the pocket door separting the bedroom from the kitchenette that was helpful when my husband took an afternoon nap. The place was very clean. The lighting was awesome whether you preferred bright lighting for cooking or dim light for night. All curtains were blackout curtains for privacy. The private belcony was nice for sitting outside. The swimming pool was very clean and warm water. The location was fantastic with walking distance to Publix grocery and liquor store, close to shuttle pickup, and two wonderful places to eat, Skinnys and AMI Beach Cafe. And of course we were only about a couple minutes walk to the beach. The place provided beach chairs, cooler and towels which was very nice. Mathew the property manager was always available and helped us when we had questions. We will be coming here again next year. We would definitely recommend this hidden little gem of a place to a friend or relative!

Great location, needs more comfortable furniture

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here March 2024 for a week. It was our first visit to Anna Maria Island. Overall, it was a good experience. We arrived about two hours early due to an earlier flight. We did have to wait to check in until exactly 4 pm because the unit was not ready. We had lunch across the street at Skinny's while we were waiting. We did not realize when booking that this unit was a second floor unit. Had we noticed that, we would have booked something on the first floor. Unit was clean and spacious for two adults. We had a private balcony along with chairs outside the entry door. Bed was comfortable. A few things to note - the furniture is all modern style and not comfortable for any extended time for sitting or relaxing. The bathroom is small, and the shower has a half glass wall. No matter what we tried, water was all over the floor and one side of the toilet after every use. We had to use towels to mop up and wash them and the bath rug every night. The only way to change the TV channel is to scroll through every single channel because the guide did not work. We also had an issue with the dishwasher tripping the breaker every 8 minutes. It took over 3 hours for the cycle to finish with constantly resetting the breaker. The location of the property is great. Right by a public beach and all you need to do is go outside and walk around the trees. The path to get to the beach could use a trim, and there was someone sleeping in the dunes. We tended to walk through the public picnic table/grill area instead of the path. Pool area is great, although the first day we used the pool, the entire area and pool were filthy. No one cleaned the pool and it was covered in tree debris and palm leaves. After Sunday, it appeared someone was taking care of it better. We had a nice time here, but I don't know that we would opt to stay here again - mainly because of the stairs (no elevator) and the uncomfortable (to us) furniture.

Place was spotless and very cozy and pool area was great to hang out at. Had everything we needed for a few days stay.Only drawback was being next to a public beach although it was not too crowded or noisy. Would suggest beach chairs that recline.

We really enjoyed our experience. Checking in was a breeze, fully equipped kitchen. Super cute and mod decor. The property is only about 30 steps to the beach. Sunsets are amazing! Skinny's Burgers is right across the street-a local fave spot with great pub style fare (be prepared to wait in line, but worth it). Grocery store is only a few blocks away.
