« The location of the cottage in Carloway is great for exploring the island of Lewis, it’s archeological sites, many walks and hikes. There is a well stocked shop in town for anything you need. The house is cozy and peaceful looking out on the loch in front. The kitchen has good supplies for cooking. It is the perfect place for rest and renewal in the beauty of the western isles, and also as a base for outdoor activities. »

« The property was exactly as it looked in the pictures, it was airy, clean and spacious with lots of room for the whole group to get together but plenty of quieter space for some 'me time'. We already know the island and have lots of family there and Jan and Callum offered to come and extend our table if they were coming over, asked where we needed safety gates and provided top class toddler safe equipment. We cannot fault John for his cooperation and his management of the property. The information available was comprehensive and up to date. « First time on Harris and Lewis and really enjoyed the house. It has its quirks (first holiday home ever with an over abundance of storage!) but was spacious and spotless. Had to reset the heating on the first night due to no hot water (the island suffered a total blackout the night before and knocked it out) but the hostess replied immediately and the problem was solved in minutes which was a huge plus. Recommended for anyone visiting the area »
