Renovated ranch has plenty of space for a single family with 40-lb dog. We are 4 adults visiting 4/5 Great Lakes. Indian River is a nice little town on its own, plus plenty of dark skies for star-gazing and alien-hunting! Get a good yard fogger and you can be outside at night without becoming mosquito food. We found the bugs completely manageable. Plenty of dishes, towels, space, firewood, etc. We had everything we needed for our stay, and great communication with the property manager who also lives in the area if we needed anything. Shout-out to Indian River Pet Resort for taking great care of Luna while we went to Mac Island. Special thanks for "going above and beyond" after we checked out ;)
7/21/24 We had 4 adults with with 3 18+ kids for our 6 night stay. The house was clean and had most everything you need for your stay. The new bathroom addition was awesome. We had never been to Indian River before and were there for a boating vacation. We rented two transient slips at the Landings, which is a 5 minute walk, for our boats. We spent our days on the Inland Waterway and Burt and Mullet lakes, and evenings cooking a feast and sitting by the fire pit in the extra large back yard. There is a three burner Webber gas grill on the patio and 7 Adirondeck chairs by the fire pit. There was 1 10" and 1 8' pans and 1 ea 1 qt, 2 qt 4 qt and 6qt pots. We really could have used a large 12" deep sided fry pan and a second 2 qt pot cooking for a group our size. Top features for us were 2 full and 1 half bathrooms, the A/C, we could bring our (2) dogs and room for parking 4 or more vehicles (the marina let us store our trailers there). Downside was the two twin bed room was very small (for 2 adults) but would be fine for kids and the dining table only had 4 chairs (there were 2 more folding chairs in a closet, but we had 7 people). The property is centrally located just off the Indian River. By boat, Burt lake is a 45 minute trip up current and Mullett Lake is a 15 minute trip down current. We went all the way to Lake Huron for a day trip ( 6 hours round trip) and spent lazy days at the various sand bars on the lakes. We would rent this property again when we go to that area
The property was perfect for us because it was quiet and secluded. The large backyard was lovely and we enjoyed several games of cornhole. We saw a deer one evening and several rabbits throughout our stay. The house had everything we needed. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
Enjoyed our stay in Indian River. A lot of fun things to do around the area. Host was accommodating and responsive to any problems that we had. Great big yard was fun for our dog. Enjoyed sitting out in the evening.
We really enjoyed our stay, the place was perfect for us. The backyard was pretty secluded, which was really nice, and the doggos had plenty of room to run around
Comfortable home with a lovely outdoor entertainment area in a country setting with easy access to water sports, boating, fishing, and just a short drive from the Upper Peninsula.
The place had everything you would need. Twin beds were a little uncomfortable for the older grandma. Really appreciate having 2 and 1/2 bathroom were clean and big. The washer and dryer was appreciated . Kitchen was well stock with dishes, cooking pan , serving dishes and siverware. Nice firepit and big yard.
We were here for the weekend leading up to the 4th of July! House was clean and comfy. Location for boating was great. Large back yard for dogs. Driveway has two entrances for east boat parking. Highly recommend the home! Thanks for a great time!!!
Stayed here for a couple nights while we traveled to the UP. Went to Mackinac Island and saw the Lilac Parade. This was a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.
