« Some distance from the main road and no neighboor next to my room so it was quiet and I slept well. The room need to be renovated. Everything is dark and smell bad. Althoug smoking is forbidden since many years, the old smoke smell has not been removed. Armchair, A/C, bedspread and curtains are very old and shall be changed. Lighting is insufficient. »

« Do yourself a favour: on your way to the Motel, stop at the Kwik Star and get some snacks and your favorite beverage. Get to the hotel, check in with the friendly, knowledgeable staff, then take your snacks and beverages to the overlook. You'll be there for a while. A long while. Cute, clean, quiet, AMAZING view that you'd never expect in Iowa. Well worth the visit. »

« Accueil sympathique et rapide, chambre bien équipée, cet hôtel est très bien entretenu. Toutes les chambres étant occupées, je pense que l’adresse est déjà renommée. Bien qu’il est noté qu’il n’y a pas de petit déjeuner, celui-ci est bien proposé gratuitement et est très correct. »

« This is, indeed, a motel for sportsmen. Our room had a backwoods theme, but was also prepped for folks coming in from a day in the backwoods. I think it’s being upgraded room by room (lots of building supplies blocking a couple of rooms), and kudos to whoever is taking in what seems to be a labor of love. The motel is not actually in Dorchester- don’t let Google misdirect you- and is quite isolated, so bring your own breakfast. But it’s also in the heart of the Driftless, which is a wonderful...
