Platane Hütte · Eingezäunter Hundepark + Spielplatz

This is a small private campground made of three authentic Wilderness Cabins from Walt Disney World`s Fort Wilderness Resort — relocated straight from Disney to Callahan, Florida, with their original wood-paneled walls, vintage décor, and authentic furnishings preserved intact. Fort Wilderness opened in 1971 as part of Disney`s original vision, and these cabins hosted families from around the world for decades. Now all three sit side by side on Explorer Trail in rural Nassau County — and Sycamore holds down the quiet end of the row.

This is the cabin for unplugging. Coffee outside while the woods wake up, an afternoon with a book on the porch, dinner off the charcoal grill, and quiet nights you just don`t get in town. And when you`re ready to explore, nothing is far: about 30 minutes to Jacksonville`s beaches, 35–40 minutes to Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, and quick access to I-95 and US-1.

Book Sycamore on its own, or take the whole campground — Big Oak and Tall Pine are right next door, and the three cabins together sleep up to 18 while everyone keeps their own space. Our fourth Callahan cabin, The Outpost, is just up the road.

Inside you`ll find a full kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fast WiFi, and beds for 6. Pet-friendly with prior approval.
