The house was super clean (and I am really picky about cleanliness!). The big fenced yard was secure and great for our dog to play and sunbathe. There are plenty of pots/pans/dishes to cook some basic meals. Bedrooms are generously-sized and the house has plenty of room for a medium-sized group. Short walk to the beach & beach path. We would definitely stay again!

My family really enjoyed the property and all that it had to offer. Very accommodating inside & out with plenty of space and privacy when needed. Kids, adults, & dogs all enjoyed. Thank you for a great experience and we hope to be back one day!

We could not have picked a better place for our stay. We have been coming to the island for almost 40 years. Sometimes we stay at my parents' home and sometimes we rent. The host was extremely quick to answer any questions. The house is very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for my husband and I and two of our adult children. In addition, we have a very large Irish Setter. The fenced in backyard was perfect. Fire pit was great. Bed was very comfortable. House is very conveniently located to the beach, golf course, and my parents home. So glad someone is willing to accommodate big dogs.

The host was welcoming. Provided a new coffee maker during our stay. The home is absolutely adorable. Perfect location on Jekyll Island. The backyard is spacious. Our doodles loved the open space to run. 10/10 recommended.

The house was just as described and worked well for all three generations of my family. It was a great place to celebrate my granddaughter's7th birthday. My 10 month old grandson had a great time exploring and there was plenty of room for his pack & play in the bedroom. Very dog friendly, good location (a short walk to the beach) and soundproofing between the two units was wonderful.Fun was had by everyone from 10 months to 62 years!

Wonderful Week at Jekyll

We have vacationed at Jekyll for many years and this is one of the very best rental homes we have ever experienced. Immaculately clean and well appointed for a comfortable home away from home. Check-in and out were super easy. The location is great, just a few blocks from the beach, the pool, and nearby resturants. We appreciated the generous provision of basic necessities and the well equipped kitchen. Our only disappointment is that the bicycles advertised in the home description were in very poor condition and not dependable to ride beautiful Jekyll Island trail system. Fix the bikes and this is a 10 star review!

Bright, Spotless, Great for Dogs

This is a duplex on a slightly depressing street of 1970's duplexes situated a couple blocks from the beach, but if you are looking for a safe place where your dogs can be let into a fenced yard with no worries, this is it.Renovated completely with nice new appliances. Immaculately clean. Bright and open with no clutter. Very quiet neighborhood with regular visits by several deer (and a couple of vultures?). The deer are completely unafraid, which freaked out our dogs. Thankfully, the backyard fence is new and sturdy.The beach, and all that Jekyll has to offer, are only scant minutes away, so don't let the duplex neighborhood scare you away from this property. The backyard looks out onto the wooded golf course, which is nice.Our only disappointment was that the bicycles and other outdoor equipment had been left out in the weather all winter and needed cleaning/service. I have a feeling the equipment has been serviced since our visit.

Awesome awesome awesome.This place is awesome. Perfect for is and our two dogs. We walked to the beach. We drove to driftwood beach and other beaches. Nice neighborhood to walk around. Bike friendly area, nice trail all over the island. The house is very nice. 3 bathrooms. 3 bedrooms. Beautiful kitchen. Nice fenced in back yard, which we really appreciate, having dogs. Bikes and beach chairs we could use. Chairs in the back yard and solo fire place in backbyard. We didnt use it but its there. Along with a grill. Everything was clean. Easy to unlock the door. Great instructions from the owner for how to get in. Nice appliances. Plenty of dishes for us to use. We had plenty of tltpilet paper and everything elase we needed as well.We took our dogs everywhere. We walked beaches 3 times a day. We took them to Fuse Frozen Yogurt and we got yummy icecream and they got free puppy cups. We took them to Tortuga Jacks and had dinner. Food was ok. Some construction work was going on and scared our Golden, but they bring o I t a bowl of wayer for your dogs. Very nice wait staff. Prices were ok, and amou t of food was filling. We saw deer every evening on the way home from where ever we were coming from.I dont know what else to say. We had a wonderful time and really dont want to leave.I would love to upload pictures but my phine is not letting me right now.

Great property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pelican on Jekyll Island. The house was very clean and located in a quiet neighborhood which was minutes away from all island attractions and beaches. Venturing out to St. Simons and Brunswick was fun as well. It is easy to build a relaxing or action packed vacation from this location. We look forward to visiting the area again.

This was awesome!

This property was amazing. We had an easy time finding it, it was in a great area, the owners are brilliant. We had a small mishap during our stay, I sent them a message and it was taken care of almost instantaneously.they were so very friendly it made the stay better! I would 10 out of 10 recommend!

Very nice place and a great value! Would recommend!

The rooms are nice and the downstairs and outside is great spaces to be. We brought our two dogs and the loved the long yard for playing fetch! Had plenty of room for our two kids, us, and my grandma. I would recommend this place and hope to go again since Hurricane Milton cut our stay short. We will be back next year! Couple additional bits for the owner: the grill lighter and stick lighter were both out. Back sliding door did not seem to lock Would like to see the following household items included: Scissors, tape, few more cooking utensils (mixing spoon, ladle, etc)

Great stay

Had a great family getaway at the pelican! Awesome sleeping arrangements for the kids. Great clean property. Loved the outdoor shower for after the beach. Only one small hiccup, we couldnt get in upon check in, but that was fixed with 1 quick phone call. Overall great.

Perfect escape

This house is a real treasure! Perfectly located, close to everything you could want but still very private. The fenced back yard was a huge plus, and our pup was immediately comfortable and happy there. It was a wonderful escape for us while visiting in town to see family. We will definitely look for this place again when we come to visit!

Great all around

This was a great place for us and our 2 adult children. Each of us had our own space for downtime and places to be together. We enjoyed walking and biking to the beach. I like that there was a little gate to put at the bottom of the stairs to prevent our senior dog from going up them. The hosts were very responsive to us and the house was everything we expected.

Great Easter weekend at the Pelican

Our family stayed at the Pelican over Easter weekend and it was fantastic. The house was adorable! Just as pictured and described in the listing. Very clean and and the location was great! Check-in and check-out was so easy and the property owners were very helpful and quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again.
