The house was in disrepair. The dishwasher was not functional and the internal components were rusting. One of the faucets in the kitchen was separating from its mounting and drains throughout the house were sluggish. The house was cold despite the many space heaters scattered about. The main heat system was in the loft and didn't do anything to heat downstairs. We relied on the fireplace to supplement heating. The jacuzzi was not usable because there was not sufficient hot water to cover the jets. It's a great house but needs some TLC.

Beware of this house! It is not what it seems. At the time of our arrival (early March 2026) we found the place in disarray with many things were quite wrong. The smoke alarm in the upstairs bedroom HAD BEEN REMOVED. The smoke alarm in the downstairs bedroom was INOPERATIONAL. This made merely staying here extremely dangerous. There also was no smoke alarm in the patio bedroom. The light in the bathroom did not work---no light when you have to go in the middle of the night!. The furniture in the living room was filthy...Goodwill would reject it as a donation. The dishwasher looked broken (don't know if it was actually broken) and looked like it was 20 years old. There were moth holes in the bed's bedspread. Making the place further dangerous were all the wires, cables and cords all over the place. One could actually trip over them. They were running up and down the walls and over the floor. It definitely was not up to safe electrical building code. There were even two exposed wires hanging down from the second floor (I did not test them to see if the were live wires---too dangerous!) They had a TV in the sun patio bedroom but there were no sockets nearby to plug it in---totally useless! We only stayed there an hour before deciding that it would be actually too dangerous to sleep here---we left and were fortunate to find another place quickly.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was the perfect place to slow down and truly enjoy time together. My aunt, uncle, and I spent our days playing music, talking for hours, and simply soaking in the peaceful setting.The cabin was comfortable, inviting, and exactly what we needed for a restful getaway. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and it felt like a place where memories are meant to be made.Thank you for sharing such a special space. We left refreshed, grateful, and already talking about coming back.

Such a beautiful cabin! We had a perfect time there. Secluded without feeling too isolated, the porch swing was wonderful, comfy beds, deer, turkeys and fun bird watching. We look forward to getting back there!

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced. Before arriving, I had a simple question and messaged the host, but he didn’t reply until five hours later, which was already concerning. When we arrived at the cabin, it was immediately clear that the place had never been cleaned. It honestly felt like a crime scene. There were dirty dishes left in the sink, bed sheets thrown on the floor, beds without any sheets at all, and dirt everywhere. We even found a pair of used socks on the floor. On top of that, the outside lights were not working, and several bedroom lights also didn’t work, leaving most of the cabin dark. I tried multiple times to contact the host to explain the situation, but again, there was no response. I called the phone number listed for the host, and it went straight to voicemail. After leaving three voicemails, someone finally answered and said it was the wrong number and they were not the host. This stay was supposed to be very special — it was my boyfriend’s birthday, and we had planned this night months in advance. After a few hours, the host finally replied, apologized, and said they had forgotten to schedule the cleaning, then suggested sending a cleaning crew at 10 PM. Shortly after, a housekeeper called and said the host asked her to come clean immediately. I asked her to please tell the host to call me directly. She agreed — but the host never called and never responded again. The entire night turned into a nightmare.

It was such a nice home to stay in. The place was beautiful as we drove in and perfectly decorated and clean. The bathrooms and showers all worked well and the rooms and beds were plentiful. The porch swing was fun for the kiddos and the backyard had tons of fun areas for the kids to roam and for the adults to sit back and enjoy. We had deers visit us every morning of the stay!

I have never felt more warmly welcome to a home ever! We drove up and arrived at dusk, the porch lights were on, the door cracked open just a bit, the lights on inside, the heaters warming up the space and nice ambiance music on the TV with a fall setting. What a welcome indeed! The home is beautiful with that cabin in the woods feeling. There were some electrical issues going on that didn't fully allow us to heat the home and a few other things, but the owner sent people to work on it right away! So we had to keep the home warm using the two fireplaces, but that worked fine. The owner was very responsive and did all they could in the moment to help.

This cabin is extremely cozy! Natalie is a very attentive host and answers any and all questions promptly. The house was extremely clean and warm upon arrival. Close to town but far enough away to feel private and quiet. A great place for a relaxing getaway!!

5 Stars – A Perfect, Relaxing Getaway!We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property is very well kept and thoughtfully maintained. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The cabin had a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind and enjoy some much-needed downtime.Whether we were sipping coffee on the porch, enjoying the cozy interior, or just taking in the beautiful surroundings, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. You can really tell the owners take pride in this place — it felt like a home away from home.Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat. We’d love to come back again!
