Enjoy an open layout that maximizes the square footage, with a private balcony overlooking the surrounding tropical greenery, a fully appointed kitchen, and even air conditioning in the living room to ensure your comfort all year-round. You'll have access to an outdoor swimming pool on the grounds, as well as local beaches, restaurants, and coffee shops within a short walk, bike ride, or drive.
What's nearby: This property is located right off the oceanfront Ali'i Drive in Kailua-Kona, within walking distance of a number of cafes, coffee shops, and recreational outfitters in town. If you're looking to hit the beach, you can walk less than half a mile south to Honl's Beach or head north to Keiki Beach (Queen's Bath) and Kailua Beach at Old Kona Airport State Recreation Area, both of which are less than two miles away. Pick up some fresh tropical produce at the Kona Farmers Market (half a mile north), book a fishing charter that departs from Kailua Pier (one mile north), and be sure to sample some of the region's famous coffee at Kona Coffee & Tea (one mile north).

Christmas vacation
The location was amazing. I come here several times a year. Always had to drive to town before but this location was only a 5 min walk to downtown. Very nice! Great for a couple or with a young child. Mine was 11 and he slept in the sofa bed.

Great Condo, bad Management Company
Location was walking distance to beach, luau, restaurants... Several little "extras" in the condo. We were the only ones using the pool while we were there. Loved this place, but I will never lease another property through VACASA. Wish VRBO would make the property managers more visible in their listings.

They tried anyway
I think the location was great but the place is much darker than the images. Several windows have shutters you are not allowed to open. The pool is nice and the frog serenade was pretty nice too. Come with the idea that it will only be a place to sleep at night and you will not be disappointed.

Great location!
Great location with easy walking into Kona or to the beach. Condo pool was close by. BBQs were spotless. The condo itself was clean and modern. The bedroom could use a dresser as there is no where to put clothes, etc. The kitchen was well equipped. The living room could use a coffee table. The unit is on the top floor and close to the main busy road. A lot of constant road noise if windows were opened. Overall, we stayed a month and we were more than happy! Would recommend.

I would not stay here again
The property is in a good location and is just a few minutes walk into town, and also has the benefit of a designated parking space. Sadly I would not stay here again for the following reasons: 1) I was sent an email 30 mins before check in that there was no gas supply to the property due to some gas outage, which I did not receive until after I checked into the property and had Wifi. This meant I could not use the hob or oven to cook any of the food I bought or even boil the kettle. 2) Despite sending 3 emails I never received a reply from Vacasa / the owner with any updates about the gas issue which was really disappointing. I would also add that there was no gas supply for the whole length of my 2 night stay which was inconvenient. 3) As another reviewer had mentioned, the outside shutters are not accessible to open to allow light into the apartment due to the mosquito guard - light does come in via the large lounge window however, but overall the apartment is quite dark unlike the photographs on the listing. 4) On our last day we found a live cockroach in the kitchen. 5) The air conditioning and fans were off when we arrived so the apartment was vey hot and took 2 - 3 hrs to get to a comfortable temperature to be able to relax. Sadly this property just wasn’t for me. If I hadn’t experienced any of these issues I would provide 4 stars instead.

Perfect for what we needed
The stay was nice and clean. We had everything we needed and restaurants and markets where near by. The rental had boogies bored and snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrellas. Seriously anything u need. The neighbor below played music every morning while getting ready for work (5am) which wasn’t the greatest but we planned a lot of adventures in the morning anyways. Past that it was a great stay. Would book again. ❤️

A Hidden Gem in Kona
We had a lovely 5-night stay at the Kona Mansions! The place is located on one of the main highways into and out of Kona. It’s also just a few minutes walk from Honl Beach - a small white sand beach with gorgeous sunsets. Inside, the unit was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed for cooking and laundry. We didn’t have beach gear, so it was nice to have the umbrella, beach chairs, and boogie boards available for use. The Vacasa staff also went above and beyond to attend to our needs and ensure we were satisfied with our stay. We would love to stay here again in the future. If you are considering booking this place, do it - you’ll be glad you did!

Beautiful, spacious, clean one-bedroom just steps from downtown Kona!
My travel partner and I were both impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the apartment! The space is even bigger than it looks in the photographs. Very comfortable bed and nice appliances. The only thing we were missing was having more natural light coming into the apartment. Most of the windows had wooden blinds on the outside of the screen, which we were not able to open. However, we loved everything else and being able to walk easily into town and down to the water was fabulous!

Nice location but ...
The location was nice but the neighbors were horrible. People in the unit below us began playing loud music at 4 am everyday-despite signs everywhere indicating quiet hours. The unit could have been cleaner since there was dirt under and behind the tv stand and hair on the bathroom floor. The ants in the unit were so bad that we actually looked to move to another place. The unit had bait stations everywhere including next to the dishes in the cabinet so obviously, this is a known problem. We could not use the kitchen area because ants were on the counters, sink etc. The curtain rod over the sliding door was being loosely held up by one screw, we couldn't open the shutters over the windows so it was very dark, there was no luggage rack or dresser so ants got into our suitcases which were on the floor, the beach umbrella was missing a part needed to set it up which we discovered at the beach and the clothes dryer rack was broken. I sent multiple messages to the management company about these issues and never received a response.
