The condo is quite nice with stunning sunset views. It is fully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Check-in was very easy and the management company very attentive to making sure everything was in perfect order. We loved having our breakfast on the balcony as we watched surfers catching waves. In the evenings the sunsets were amazing! Like most places on the island you definitely need a car to get around...a few places were walking distance but not much. Our only disappointment was the swimming pool and outside area of the complex...it definitely needs some upgrades and maintenance

The condo was quiet and peaceful. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked and views were amazing! We appreciated the beach gear that was on the lanai. We enjoyed the sunsets from the beach and our lanai. The hosts were very easy to get in touch with and quick to respond.

Best location and view

The home was so comfortable and they had everything we needed like a parasol buggy boards, sand toys, we felt right at home my husband played his music a bit louder than I would appreciate and the neighbors would make anyone proud by not making a big deal, I’m impressed and will be hopefully staying here in the near future

This property is exactly as advertised. The location is close to town, but still quiet, and the view from the lanai is spectacular. We would absolutely stay here again!

Location location location!!!!

Loved this rental. The patio overlooked the ocean. Beach is just steps away. Enjoyed watching turtles swim in coves. Rental was very nice, up to date amenities. Had to reach out to the owner about something. Called back within 5 min and was very helpful. Would definitely stay at the rental if I ever make my way back here.

The View

The property was really set up with everything you need for a stay. The view was the money shot, amazing. The property bed and pillows were great was clean and kitchen well stocked. The patio furniture needs updating for sure.

Great place to stay with family!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Location is central to Kona and there was ample parking. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. It was quiet at night and we had no trouble falling asleep. The AC was on a 4-hr timer, which is no big deal. We only used the AC to cool the condo down before going to sleep. Furniture was outdated, but it adds to the island feel. The couch wasn’t very comfortable to sit on but we didn’t spend much time inside. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend!

The home is fully stocked with everything you need, including many beach items. The view is beautiful and location is quiet but close to shops and restaurants which is convenient. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Kona Bali Kai #219

The highlight of the unit is how it looks out onto the Pacific. As you walk in, you immediately see the ocean through the sliding doors at the opposite end. The lanai is 30 feet from the shoreline, overlooking a tidal pool. We stayed at Kona Bali Kai for almost three weeks and never got tired of the whales, the waves and the sunsets. The unit itself is clean and well appointed. The kitchen is well equipped. The furniture was comfortable, but a bit dated. It could use some modernizing. The unit manager, Tim, was responsive and helpful when we needed some extra supplies.

Big Island Paradise

Could not have asked for a better location and the setting was beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked and equiped. Place was very quiet at night and we were lucky enough to be there during a full moon. Spent lots of hours on the lanai watching the sunsets and moon setting. Probably would rank within the top 5 of my vacations.

Dream trip to Kona!

We stayed here for the Ironman World Championship, and it couldn’t have been any better! It was the perfect location and setting, any questions I had were answered immediately, and I was able to listen to the waves and relax. I would highly recommend this location for the Hawaiian vacation you dream of.

Lovely!

This unit was everything it was supposed to be. It was the most completely furnished place we have ever stayed at. Everything we needed was there. There was an issue with the grill, but it was addressed and handled quickly. The linens were wonderful, the dishwasher top quality and quiet, as were the wonderful washer and dryer. This one was a great pick! Very well maintained property!

Fabulous views of the ocean!

We had a really wonderful time, the views of the ocean, beautiful sounds of the waves 24/7 and watching sunset from the patio was just an awesome experience. Amenities were great, A/C was a relief on one of the hotter days. Lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrella etc. was great for beach visits. Safeway and restaurants were are 10 mins. Overall a great vacation, we will book again!

Perfect in every way!

Wow, wow, wow, we miss it already! The lanai was enormous and had two separate sliding doors to the living room and master bedroom. We fell asleep to the waves each night with the screen door and had every breakfast and dinner out on the lanai with the stunning sea and sunset views. We also saw sea turtles from the lanai and used this as the perfect home base for each separate day trip. The two bed/two bath setup with in suite laundry and full, well-stocked kitchen made for the perfect setting with the perfect view in the perfect location! We certainly hope to be back one day!

Fantastic View

The view and distance to the ocean can’t be beat! Watch surfers in the morning, sea turtles in the tide pool in the afternoon and then beautiful sunsets. Probably one of the best stocked kitchens of any VRBO we have stayed at in terms of cooking and dining utensils, plates, etc. The only complaint is that the small HVAC unit is essentially useless, but as long as the trade winds are blowing should not be a major issue. The late afternoon/early evening on one of our four days was a little uncomfortable. Having Da Poke Shack in the complex and steps away is a HUGE plus if you like poke. Pricy, but the best I ever have eaten.

Property was as advertised. Stunning location, 40 ft from the ocean and facing west for awesome sunsets. Note there is no swimming at this location but there is a great public beach just south of the complex. Lanai is large and perfect for sunsets. Furniture in the unit is old and should be replaced. Both beds are beyond worn, one too soft the other hard as a rock. AC works wells but front bedroom doesn't cool enough as the AC is a window unit installed in the family room. Sofa is worn with no support and very uncomfortable. If the beds and sofa are replaced the place would be perfection.

Condo with nice water view but otherwise nothing special

The condo is really nothing to write home about in a complex built probably in the 1970s. There are beautiful views of the ocean and the condo is priced reasonably. Otherwise, it is quite ordinary. The second bedroom in the back is too small with a bed that is too small and the feeling that you are in a cave. The condo management downstairs was terribly rude to my daughter, basically screaming at her incomprehensibly for no reason, bringing her to tears. There's absolutely no justification for such rudeness. The area is a bit too congested for my preference but you are in the middle of all the action. The ocean is there but access is difficult due to rocks and reef. Not one to remember.
