The AC unit for the rental was not working from the time we checked in. It was very hot and humid inside at all times. The thermostat always said it was between 77 and 82 degrees inside, which was just too hot after returning from a day at the beach. The host was very slow to respond and made very little effort to fix the issue. They spent 2 days making me troubleshoot it, but nothing worked. They then essentially told us it WAS working, even though it definitely WASN'T. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. This really ruined our stay which would've otherwise been a very fun and beautiful experience in a great location. There are many other rentals in the area, and I highly recommend you consider those. This host (Maui Paradise Properties) is not worth renting from. They will text you asking how everything is, but as soon as there's a problem, they will disappear and leave you on your own. Trust me, don't rent this unit, I have a feeling they always have these AC issues.

Really excellent property. Amazing views, pools and beaches within walking distance. Great, bed, shower and ac. Easy parking and communication. Well stocked. The bird sanctuary is fascinating at night and amazing sunsets from the patio!

This house was truly like the pictures especially that bedroom view which was amazing! I laid in bed an extra long time! Kitchen was nicely equipped for meals, lots of room for two people, and really enjoyed their pool and trail. The beach is more of a hike so we drove to DL Flewling park which was amazing. It’s far from the airport compared to other properties but it’s quiet and private. The bird sanctuary was beautiful but louder at night. We used a white noise machine to drown out the bird noises. We loved this little condo!

First Stay in Kapalua

Spring break with our family, who stayed in a nearby VRBO condo.This is a beautiful condo in a great location. It’s a short walk one way from the condo to a beach great for snorkeling (great fish and turtles) and a short walk the other way to a beach great for wave riding (too rough for younger kids). We also got in some tennis in on newly renovated and well-kept courts and used the pools and grills too. Perfect!!! Everyone in our group loved it!

Great stay!

Perfect location with very nice views. Lots of room for two people. Quiet, nice little pool that was never crowded, fairly close to beach access. We walked the coastal trail every day. Only downside was that the wind (which is always stronger around Kapalua) was acting up.....25-30mph each day. All in all, a very nice stay.

Pleasant walks and plenty of Whales

A wonderful stay to celebrate a milestone birthday. The celebrant wanted rest and relaxation with a view and thats what he got. We did use one of the daily activities through xplorie, whale watching through Teralini. It was great! Two things that would have helped, no recyling in condo and no recycling in garbage drop off area. Binoculars would have been nice. Need more room in closet for clothes since store recreational equipment there. I would go back in an instant. Beautiful, clean, and very communicative.

Life changing

I am a caregiver for my mother, and I finally was given a break to go on a vacation. We (my husband and I) picked Maui and this rental. There are no words to describe how beautiful this condo is. The location, the care put into it, the view. The bed was really comfortable, the condo was set up for us perfectly, and it was very clean and up-to-date. To address another review, there were bug baits in the house to handle that stray ant that made it past the door. We did not find any issue with them. Also, it's a tropical island. You're going to have bugs. The condo was beautifully maintained. I truly have nothing bad to say about this condo, but I know people don't believe that. So the only thing I'd fix is repainting the chairs on the lanai. Their paint is peeling at the bottom. It certainly didn't affect how much we loved this home, and I wish I could go back. (I literally cried while we were leaving the condo.) Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful, magical place. Thank you to the owner for sharing it with us, and to the property management team that went out of their way to make sure we had the best time in Maui. I cannot tell you how much it meant to me.

Great vacation

We stay in these Kapalua Bay condos every year for whale season. This condo has great amenities and views of the ocean. The kitchen has everything you could want. The bathroom is beautiful. The grounds are well kept and full of tropical plants. There are huge windows and a commanding view upstairs. This was the first time staying at this particular condo and it was great.

Escape to Paradise

Our stay was PHENOMENAL!!!! From the beginning of our stay til the end, customer service was exceptional—10/10!! All questions (rarely any) were addressed promptly. We felt so at home in this beautifully appointed, Hawaiian themed villa. The property was well maintained. The views of the ocean were breathtaking with easy access to the beach and trails. The pictures don't do justice! We loved waking up to the picturesque view of the ocean/island from the master bedroom!! Additionally, the place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed—cooking utensils, extra bedding, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers, surfboards, beach wagon, ect. All of the guests and locals at this resort were so friendly and welcoming. If we come to Maui again, we would definitely stay here again as we felt so at home here!!! Maui is truly PARADISE!! Our stay was unforgettable considering we departed just hours before the Lahaina fires. Cant wait to go back!!!

Filthy Unit ... Management Unresponsive

I have never before given a negative review. My new husband and I were on our honeymoon and this VRBO unit ruined our experience. I sent an email (copied here - jeannelove.net/vrbo) to upper management of this unit twice and never heard back from them. Even though they paid lip service via text stating "We hope you are enjoying your stay and please let us know how we can make it better." What a joke! A quick recap: * The unit was filthy even though we paid a substantial cleaning fee (and they expect you to put the dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on), which I did. I expected the unit to be deep cleaned for that exorbitant price. Obviously, the management is using this higher than normal cleaning fee as a profit center. * Check-in at 4 PM and Check-out at 10 AM. No late check-out is allowed and the cleaning person was still at the unit when we arrived at 4pm. * No communication at all from management even though we tried to contact them. When we arrived home I called MPP Management Co and still no response. The fact that I was upset beyond words because I spent time during our honeymoon trying to contact the management with no response made me livid and basically spoiled our honeymoon. Go to jeannelove.net/vrbo to view the email and photos I sent to management. I would have overlooked the problems if it were not for our honeymoon and MPP management would have responded. I don't send negative reviews only positive so this review is an exception. Sorry about the negative review. The view was amazing, but we expected it to be clean, especially when you pay such high prices. Jeanne

Best View

The most incredible view-- full ocean views out of the gorgeous wall-sized windows (that had motorized blinds). Gated entrance with easy parking. Very close to the beautiful Montage resort. About as close to the ocean as you can get and the view cannot be beat! I would definitely stay here again.
