Texas trio finds peace and beauty in oahu

The most impressive feature of the property was the incredible ocean and grounds view from the patio. We were on the 11th floor the ocean was directly in front. The unit itself was very large. Loved the kitchen. There were too many light switch’s and honestly we had trouble turning lights off and on. The furniture was a little. Dated. And the mattress in the master bedroom was uncomfortable. Over all this was a very beautiful resort. Location was safe. Would recommend this unit to friends

Beautiful property but deceptive description and poor customer service

We booked this property thinking we had booked the penthouse, aka the top floor of the property, right? No. There are 6 floors of Penthouses and 4 floors above us. Additionally, there were several posts about the poor mattress in the Primary Bedroom. Our attempts to contact the property manager (3) and inquire about this were unsuccessful however, we did think the mattress was okay. It is a beautiful property with nice amenities and a beautiful view.

Paradise

The place was great. Good location. Property and beach were amazing. The front desk people were so friendly and had all the answers we needed. That being said, it’s time for a new mattress in the master bedroom. And some of the beach chairs were broken. Minor detail the wooden blinds could use a dusting. Over all the place was amazing as it looked in the pictures. 😎🌈

Beautiful view / Master bed mattress needs to be replaced!!!

The view, community, staff, and pools are amazing!! The master bedroom mattress is old, worn, and really really uncomfortable. Both my wife and i ( in our 40s by the way) couldn’t sleep because of the shape of the mattress. When you are paying for 6 nights and go home more tired than you came not good. I really really really recommend you immediately triage it so this doesn’t happen to someone else!!!

Beautiful location, tired unit in need of repairs

Beautiful location however the unit is very tired and in need of repairs (bath tub drain was broken) and missing some essential items (drain plug for kitchen sink). The property manager did not address these items when they were raised. The host also never contacted us during our stay. The unit is also short on some odd items (only 3 knives…). Bath tub was dirty as well when we arrived. Overall the resort is very nice however we would likely stay at a different unit next time.

Kitchen great but rest of property very worn and the worse for wear. Beach chairs rusted and torn. Stain on a beach towel. Window in one bedroom not airtight and wind whistling and hissing at night made it hard to sleep. Second bath had stained sink and unusable hairdryer because of lint build up.

30th weeding anniversary

We wanted a special place to celebrate our 30th anniversary, as well as Christmas with our two young adult sons. We all loved every second of our stay at the Ko'Olina Villa. We especially enjoyed the modern kitchen and the in-out space towards the balcony, facing the ocean. What a spectacular sight every night, sitting there watching the sunset! Every so often we enjoyed a cocktail at the beach bar. I would like to let the resort know that I was disappointed in them using single use plastic cups all day, every day. I understand that glass is not a good option, however, investment in multi use, recyclable plastic cups should be considered for this type of establishment. ($17cocktails) This is paradise, let's do what we can to protect it! Thank you for a wonderful visit! the Z-family

Take me back!

We absolutely loved our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. Can’t wait to go back. Beautiful location, loved the semi private elevator, pools were pristine, loved the beach/lagoon, the gym was great, and the kitchen was well stocked. The only complaint would be that I got incorrect information when I asked about beach chairs and boogie boards. The property manager said there were none available, so we spent some money to rent some before we arrived. Upon arrival we found 5 boogie boards, 4 beach chairs, snorkel gear, and beach toys. That would have been nice to get the correct info initially and saved us money in the long run.

Not long enough. Never enough time.

The views were very clearly incredible - as represented on photos, dare I say even better and more grand in real life. How nice it was to sit out and look over the lagoons. We easily walked to local food/shopping. We were familiar with area already but if someone wasn’t it is easy to learn and get to and from. The Beach Villas were beautiful and accommodating. The pools and grounds are incredible and my daughter loved feeding the fish every day. The villa even had high chairs and a potty seat in storage for my baby and toddler to use which was a great surprise! You can tell people have used/taken dishes, there were only a few forks but we just hand washed and it was no problem. Bigger families may need more silverware. Our greeter was phenomenal - really, it’s truly hard to put into words how amazing this place is to stay at either with a family or solo! Never enough time. Always sad to leave!

Our favorite place to stay

We have stayed at the Beach Villas for the last 5 years. All units we stayed in have been accurately portrayed on VRBO. Love the location for golf, groceries, dining and walking. Less crowded than the resorts which we like. Will continue to stay here.

Great views and location

We stayed at the penthouse over the New Years holiday. Best view of the Koolina fireworks. Great view of the sunset. The property has 2 big pools and a lagoon and a fitness center. 2 min walk to Starbucks, food and market. 7 min drive to Costco and Safeway. Golf course across the street! We loved it!

Relaxing vacation but condo needs some work

Listed as penthouse but is not - on 11th floor not the top floor (16th floor in this building) and smaller than other 2-bedroom units. The unit was quite clean but needs an upgrade/TLC as it is a tired (examples: needs paint job - marks/chips on walls, dresser drawers not working well with 2 handles broken, master bed and twin beds mattresses have permanent body depressions (uncomfortable), fake plants on lanai look faded/old, electric range not working well (not all burners heating, too long to heat up, and we had to put on high to get pans heated) and overused kitchen pans. Wi-Fi names and passwords we were given did not work. We used the Wi-Fi/password on router as instructed by AvantStay. Lots of instructions posted around condo and we would suggest collating them in one place/condo instruction book/folder. We appreciated the beach chairs and snorkeling equipment. The onsite condo staff are awesome. The pools/landscaping are absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained. Pool side bar and live music was wonderful.

Absolutely Gorgeous

Without a doubt, this was the most beautiful condo we have ever stayed in. The view of the property grounds below, the koi pond and the ocean from the lanai was fantastic. Beautiful lanai

The Beach Villas is an amazing property and this unit didn't disappoint. The indoor/outdoor feel of the ocean view lanai is unbeatable. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The pool areas and beach access make this a delightful vacation spot. I had two issues with the place: 1. It was not well cleaned prior to our arrival. There was a contact lens on the floor of one of the showers and the kitchen cabinets clearly hadn't been wiped down for some time. 2. There was a lack of places to charge devices, in particular in the 2nd bedroom. A cheap power bar would easily remedy this situation. The WiFi was also unreliable and not usable in the bedrooms.
