    Set in Kaligata village in the beautiful Livathos region of Cephalonia, just a 10 minute drive from the airport. The villa is situated in a very peaceful location amongst pretty villages in the countryside with great views to the Ionian Sea, Zakynthos and the small Islet of Dias. 'Joanna' boasts 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 kingsize and 1 twin all with ensuite bathrooms. The villa is furnished to a high standard. The open plan living area with flat screen TV, DVD, WIFI, offers comfortable relaxing and dining areas, alongside a fully fitted kitchen. This looks out towards the sea and onto a large patio area with pergola and comfortable seating, plus a swimming pool with sunbathing area, sunbeds, a landscaped garden and barbeque. There are some olive trees for natural shade as well as an umbrella. The villa is fully air-conditioned. 'Joanna' is an ideal location for families, couples and friends.

So good we had to go again!

We first stayed at Villa Joanna 4 years ago. It ticked all of our boxes for a perfect holiday and we have struggled to find anywhere else comparable, which is why we decided to visit again this year. The Villa is clean and well maintained by Doug and Sue who live nearby. They are a lovely Couple who are always on hand to answer questions and provide support if needed. Villa Joanna has stunning views and is situated in a very peaceful setting. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony, soaking in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The efficient air-conditioning and well maintained swimming pool were also much appreciated whenever we needed to cool down in the heat of the day. Avithos beach is just 5 minutes drive away, it is ideal for families and doesn't get too crowded. The beach is sandy and has the usual lounger/umbrellas for hire. There is a beach bar and The Preview restaurant. Our favourite place to visit was The Castle Cafe at St George's Castle. The food here is all homemade and simply delicious with the best desserts we have found on the island. Again, the views from the castle are breath taking. The Acropolis restaurant is 5 minutes away from Villa Joanna, it has a good menu and friendly atmosphere. Our favourite excursions on Kefalonia included Melissani Lake and Drogarati Cave. An additional highlight this year was the opportunity to see loggerhead Turtles close at hand in Argostoli harbour. We would highly recommend Villa Joanna and would love to come back again in the future. Martyn & Belinda Coles

I don't normally write reviews, but I had too ,we have just returned from a fantastic two weeks in Kefalonia, what a beautiful Island , we booked Villa Joanna, and wow , it was amazing. 10 out of 10 for everything. From the moment we booked. Kimon the owner looked after us. Sent info. Kept in touch, even arranging for Sassa who looks after the property to meet us at the airport,a big thanks to Sassa, Villa Joanna was impeccable, the view is amazing, fab pool ,nothing negative to say, we loved Argostli, Lassi, and the local beaches were fabulous would 100% recommend. If we were to come back to Kefalonia again, We would definitely stay in Villa Joanna. Rob T.

A beautiful Villa in an amazing location.

We have just returned after a fabulous 2 weeks at Villa Joanna. The Villa was well equipped and superbly maintained throughout - I have never known so much storage in a holiday home! Located in a quiet, away from it all village, although the rest of the island was easily accessible by car. The nearby beach of Avithos become one of our favourites, as did it’s Beach Bar and Taverna’s. As well as so many breathtaking beaches, the island also has many other excellent attractions to offer, seeing Loggerhead turtles swimming in Argostoli was a real highlight. Kimon was easily contacted during the booking process and responded promptly to any queries we had. Sassa looked after us well whilst on holiday and was always keen to help with any ‘touristy questions’ we had, nothing was ever too much trouble. I would fully recommend the Island of Kefalonia and this superb Villa.

Beautiful Villa, lovely location, well equipt.

Beautiful villa with wonderful views and in a peaceful village location. Very well equipt both inside and around the pool area. A homely feel making it very relaxing. Well maintained and spotlessly clean. The Owner was very helpful. A car is a must, to enable exploration of this beautiful Island. Local beach about 5 minutes away by car with two local Tavernas. By car you can easily get to other lovely Tavernas, the Castle and the Capital all within about 15 to 20 minutes drive. A wonderful holiday.

Don't look any further!

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Villa Joanna. The villa has a lovely pool / garden area and it is ideal for outdoor living. The inside of the property is very well maintained and of a very high qaulity. Many thanks to Kimon for allowing us to stay in this wonderful place and thankyou to Doug & Suzzane for their help during our stay. I would recomend Villa Joanna to families / friends, with or without children. The beach of Avithos is only around a 15 min walk away and has a couple of good tavernas and a beach bar. Kaligata is in an ideal position to tour the Island. We hope to return soon. Gary, Ali & Joe Malone

A highly recommended holiday destination!

We cannot recommend this wonderful villa highly enough! A great base for exploring the island with lots of lovely villages and the island capital nearby. The villa is well equipped and immaculately maintained. The outside area is an excellent feature with sofas to relax and enjoy the view with a glass of wine and the Barbecue and dining area made an evening in a treat! The owner made the whole process from booking to arrival at the villa effortless with high standards of cleaning and support throughout our stay. After 10 years of renting villas this is one of the best all around!
