This was rough. The place is generally okay, and in a good location. The issue is the lack of air conditioning. A week before we arrived we noticed recent reviews that indicated trouble with the AC. We contacted VRBO and what appeared to be the subcontracted party Vacasa, managing the unit. We were (repeatedly) assured that the problem would be addressed. That was the first in a whole lot of stalling, inaction and indifference. We requested fans at the very least, and they did deliver a couple the same day. The fans helped to move the hot air around the unit- thanks? We closed the drapes against the sun during the day, but of course, without air it was unpleasant. Sleep wasn't great, but the worst time was the early afternoon to early evening. We searched out places to hang out for the day to avoid the broiling, (not cheap) condo. Multiple request to VRBO for help resulting in referrals back to Vacasa as VRBO indicated they were keeping track of the interactions. Well okay then, keeping track (!) that's...something? Bottom line that 'tracking' did not change anything in regard to the room- or the price. One of the most disappointing things was the cheery responses always remarked on how they were greatly concerned with our comfort or words to that effect. Words only, not actions. Deeply disappointing.
