My 4th stay at Haleakala Shores - we love staying at the Shores as it is very laid back, designated parking, outdoor space with a deep pool, BBQs and outdoor seating.We decided to take a last minute trip to Maui to seek the sunshine. I came across this condo being open during our dates. I found it very suspicious that there were only 2 reviews as I always check reviews to see what prior guests have to report. Accomodations were limited so I decided to book.Upon arrival, the property was dirty and unkempt, with clear signs that it had not been properly cleaned for quite some time, dirty items and outdated aesthetics. The ceiling fan above the master bedroom had at least 2 inches of accumulated dust - we abruptly turned it off when the dust started flying. The throw rugs on the floor were ripped and filthy to the point we pulled them and put them in the closet as we did not want to put our feet on them.The condition of the space significantly impacted our stay and did not meet basic cleanliness standards.I regret not ontacting the host immediately. However, the 4 of us adults agreed that we did not want to vacate the premise while the issues were resolved.Day prior to our departure I left a vm asking for a return call as I had a question, no return call received.I have photos that will confirm the above statements.I will return to Haleakala Shores but will steer clear of My Perfect Stays rentals.
