« Spectacular views and location. Perfect to walk the coast and visit local beaches. »

« We loved staying at Coombe Down. A master class in interior design and functionality, it has all the mod-cons and is really well thought through. Only slight downside is it is located on a main road so one of the double rooms and the single can be a little noisy with the windows open but we soon adjusted. All other bedrooms were quiet enough that you could really only hear the sheep baaing. The views from the patio are breathtaking and the location is good if you don’t mind a 20 minute walk into...

« The house was very clean, milk in the fridge, tea bags and cookies. Perfect for arrival! It was exactly as in the photos. We loved watching the sunset from the balcony. The location was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends. »

« The house is light, modern, clean, spacious and has great entertaining spaces. It overlooks a caravan park, but we knew this and that was fine. The major issue was that the washing machine is broken and it fused the electricity of the house mid-cycle with a full load of my kids’ clothes (sitting in dirty water). « Good accommodation in a convenient place of a lovely interesting small town. There were a couple of negatives, toaster blew a fuse and tripped the RCCB. The boiler was very noisy which, as a retired engineer, made me suspect a failing pump. Not able to contact owner by phone ref. toaster. , »

« The lodging is perfect. Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, sitting room, really perfect, nothing to say. The place is located in a very secluded country side area with zero traffic on the very small road. Good qulity communal playground. A few miles from beaches, Dartmouth, Salcombe, etc. a sailors paradise. »

« As always Peggy & Andy are great hosts and can’t do enough to ensure that you have a fabulous stay.The only comment I would make is that the patio furniture is past its best now and could do with being replaced. »

« Nicely appointed property, but bedding was damp and some of kitchen equipment dirty. Towels very well used and small. Many notices giving instructions on what you could or couldn't do, reminding us of a bossy school mistress. No welcome pack which is very unusual. »

« Very spacious, well resourced property. Comfortable for a large family gathering and providing a home from home. Disappointing to find that bbqs were not allowed. Situated down a narrow access road, which proved difficult at times but within easy driving distance to Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth. It's position on the South West Coast path meant access to some lovely walks. We were disappointed to find a large caravan park opposite which wasn't mentioned in the property details and the bin...

« Once you’ve negotiated those tiny lanes, you reach this unspoilt beautiful location. To stay in such a lovely house facing the sea is so lucky. You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing up the shore. What more do you need to unwind and relax ! »

« Just occasionally we come across a property that exceeds all our expectations. Internally every facility was provided, well furnished throughout in a very stylish manner. Both the kitchen and bathroom were modern and well maintained, making our stay extremely comfortable. The big big plus are the views from the lounge and garden both provided a breathtaking outlook along the coast toward Burgh Island and giving beautiful land and seascapes plus the most fantastic sunsets.
