Malheurusement, l'état de propreté du logement était désastreuse : toilettes non-lavées, croustilles sur sofa et lits, beaucoup de poussières et saletés sur le plancher, plusieurs toiles d'arraignées, des robinets défectueux, J'ai dû balayer tout le logis et laver et remplacer les draps surs les lits à notre arrivée. La cour extérieure est peu entretenue, et donc peu accueillante. 1 seul linge à vaisselle pour une famille de 6, pas de supports pour les vêtements, ustensiles insuffisants pour 6 personnes, pas de planche à découper, beaucoup de poils d'animaux au sol et sur le sofa, table trop petite pour accueillir 6 personnes (rallonge absente). Contacté, le propriétaire a apporté cerains objets manquants : aspirateur, ustensiles et supports à vêtements, tout en se justifiant qu'il se les fait voler.

House was not ready for guests. The place is billed as a "relaxing family vibe" with a private back garden, but the back yard was not maintained... grass not cut and overgrown. The presence of an old, ripped storage shed in the back yard and the access to the back area blocked by a large pile of leaves made it so the back yard could not be used. While the owner communicated right away and offered a small discount, nothing has been followed up on.Dispappointing.

The property did not appear to be fully prepared for new guests.The grass had grown to knee height, the garbage had not been taken out, and several areas of the home were not clean. The shower had not been properly cleaned, the microwave contained extensive baked-on food splatter, and a dirty sock had been left behind from a previous guest. The shower was missing a curtain, the dishwasher had a sign indicating it was not to be used, and there was a persistent stale, cigarette-like odour throughout the house.While none of these issues alone ruined our stay, together they gave the impression that the property had not been thoroughly cleaned or checked before arrival.The home met our needs, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation were below expectations. With greater attention to housekeeping and preparing the property between guests, this could have been a much better experience.

This was our second stay at this property (booked months in advance before our first visit). While some of the cleanliness concerns from our first stay had been addressed, our second stay was significantly impacted when the property lost running water. Neighbouring homes continued to have running water while this property did not.We were left without running water or functioning toilets overnight. Because Kingston was extremely busy, there were no available VRBOs or hotel rooms, so we had no choice but to remain at the property. We purchased bottled water to flush the toilets and manage basic needs. The outage also disrupted much of the following day while the issue was being resolved, preventing us from using the property as intended.The host ultimately provided a partial refund following the incident. However, it did not make up for the significant disruption to our trip or the loss of essential services during our stay.One additional concern was that the previous door code from our first stay still provided access during our second stay, weeks apart, even though a new code had been sent. We expected previous guest access codes to be deactivated as a basic security measure.Based on our two stays, we believe the property would benefit from greater attention to maintenance and housekeeping.

The house was definitely not clean! Black mold in the freezer, bathroom shower curtain missing and mold starting on floor around it. Electrical plugs not even in the wall. Woodstove pipe is coming apart. Found garbage under the coffee table. There was half a god dam pill on the floor that my kids found!! I took pictures of everything in this house. Title of the ad says peaceful vibes, you can hear every little noise outside. Obviously not much insulation to keep noise out. Definitely don’t recommended this house,

Upon arrival at this house we were greeted with an unkempt lawn and a key pad that would not unlock the house. Once inside we were blasted with a stale, moldy, old-smoke smell. Upon further inspection, we found hair in the shower and on the back of the toilet. One of the toilets was most definitely not cleaned as it had poop on the sides of the bowl. The sinks were dirty and one of the handles was actually off kilter and filth surrounded it. there were a great deal of spider webs with active spiders in them up and down the open stairs and the baseboards were extremely dirty. The backyard was as unimpressive as the front yard with overgrown grass, a disintegrating shed and the hot tub was open and mostly empty other than the leaves and algae that had formed inside. Although the hot tub was not specifically listed as an amenity in the listing, it was in multiple pictures and was not specifically excluded in the listing either...so we were misled in thinking that it would be available. naturally we reached out to the host and indicated our concerns and that we had left to go to a hotel and would not be staying there. his response was to chastise me for not knowing how to use the smart locks and for not noticing that the hot tub was not a listed amenity and for commenting on the lawn. he also insisted he had a cleaner come by prior to us arriving, and asked for proof. We sent photos and he actually called me "lame" and "rude" suggested VRBO might help as he would not!
