« This was a perfect place with three teenage kids and a Golden! The Sound offered water play and Sunsets like we’ve never seen before. The closed in sun porch quickly became a reading room. My husband and I enjoyed the running/ waking part across the street. Our three teenage kids were very comfortable with the space. As were my husband and I. »

« Clean, easy, and fantastic views. Took a quick trip down to the OBX and this was the perfect size and location for us. The ease of checking in/out was a plus for us. The place was super clean and all the amenities we needed for a night in. Afraid to recommend it to friends because we want to make sure it’s available if we need it—seriously though it was definitely perfect for our quick vacation. »

« Perfect getaway We loved coming back to this adorable, quiet complex to relax after a long day exploring the outer banks! I am giving 4/5 stars due to a couple of little things, but overall we had an amazing experience. We were traveling with our almost one year old and we kept finding sharp little bristles in the shag carpet. I stepped on two personally and it was painful. In addition, we had a difficult time giving our child a bath because the drains in both tub did not hold the water in....

« The condo was nice - good furniture and kitchen supplies were more than adequate. I liked the side porch which other condos may not have at Colony by the Sea. The only bummer was internet access. It seems that the access is shared by everyone at the condo development and therefore is not secure. In addition, I had to log in every time I wanted to get on the net, check email. etc. That was a pain. Otherwise great experience. »

« This is a nicely maintained condo in a quiet neighborhood with quick access to the beach and a nice pool. We had a great time sitting on the balcony listening to the waves and we actually saw deer one night grazing in the shrubbery outside the pool area. The kitchen was very well appointed and I had no trouble cooking and preparing meals. The only complaints I have are as follows: The Internet was not great. I was consistently having to reconnect on my phone and was never able to connect to...

« This was our second visit and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time. Unfortunately there were no dolphin sightings but that was the only disappointment and was nothing to do with the home. Due to outside temperatures we had to fuss with the thermostat quite a bit, Vickie was fantastic with responding to our inquiries. »
