My wife and I met up with her sister and husband to celebrate my stepson his 49th birthday. He and his wife live in Knoxville, so all enjoyed the food, sites and great times! Great location for our house. Conveniently located, very comfortable.
Great home in quiet neighborhood, still just minutes from downtown.
This was the perfect home for us during our trip to Knoxville. We travelled with our teenage daughter and our dog. The neighborhood was great for dog walks. The house was furnished/equipped with everything we needed. Communication from our host was excellent.. Would 100% recommend!
This location worked out great for us. It's a very pretty, hilly, historic part of town, with lots of dog walkers and flowering trees. And we were running late to a show, but got there and the theater was only 8 minutes away. I liked the generous touches like the free snacks in the kitchen (always helpful). The beds were very comfortable. Maybe add a kleenex box for the people with high allergies (like me :))? But really it was a great stay for us. (Fenced back yard on a hill).
The property was neat and clean, though a bit musty (the hazard of a house built into the side of a hill!). The hosts had adequate air filters and it was obvious they put work into fixing up the house. Very spacious stay for a family of four, and two of the beds had THE most comfortable mattresses! Very close to the Knoxville Zoo, in a delightful neighborhood. Would definitely repeat our stay!
We (family of 4 plus dog) stopped over on a road trip. The home is comfortable, clean, with thoughtful extras like coffee and games. The neighborhood is very nice and property photos accurate. Other reviewers mentioned an odor, which was present, but not overwhelming or an issue for us. The owner was very friendly, communication was great, and check in was easy. I would stay again and recommend.
We stayed the week of Thanksgiving. This house was perfect in every way for my two adult children and their others. Jeff is one of the best hosts we have had with multiplel VRBO stays in our past. He checked in on our needs and responded quickly to any questions plus gave us tips on where to dine and visit. We'll be making multiple trips back to the area and this one is on top of the list for our small group.
The musty/mildew/mold odor was pervasive and impossible to ignore. Ran air purifiers continually. Each time re-entering the house it was starkly obvious.
All of our clothing will need to be laundered when we return home, including outerwear because of the odor. No doubt the furniture in the home is embedded with spores. We can still smell the odor now, traveling in our car. I honestly would not bring my family, especially 6 y.o. granddaughter, into this environment - I'm sure you would feel the same about your children and adult health as well. We would NOT rent this property again and are of the opinion there is need for serious remediation of moisture for general ambiance and health concerns.
Apparently there are no CDC guidelines nor TN authority to inspect rental properties for mold issues.
Tried to share this with "owner" prior to posting for some sort of response. The "Team" failed to provide any concerned response.
There were other cleanliness issues submitted to owner (kitchen) but the unhealthy odor overshadowed the entire stay.
Skeptical of the 2 positive reviews on Vrbo. Mildew smell mentioned in numerous Air B&B reviews (which I unfortunately did not check) so not something new.
We have stayed in numerous Vrbo and Air B&B properties in various locations and this was far and away worst. So disappointing for this great location and property description. Walk away!!
The place was very clean, in a beautiful neighborhood, and accessible to downtown. My family was in for a concert and had all we needed for our time in town.
