I was disappointed by my stay. I did visit during the off-season (June), so maybe the property is better maintained during peak season. However, the furniture in my room was in poor condition, there were always ants in my room, the bed was uncomfortable, and there wasnât any hot water. It definitely doesnât feel like a âresortâ at all â more like a motel. Whoever photographed Paradise Resort should get a raise, however, because the photos look far, far better than reality â I even walked right by when I was first arriving because it looked so different from the photos and there was no signage. The âspaâ is a collection of day beds with thin curtains and is not luxurious at all. In general, Iâd advise against staying at any Long Beach hotel during the off-season â there isnât anything to do and itâs inconvenient to get to the main area of Phi Phi. If the weather is bad, sometimes the boats arenât even running, and the 45-minute âwalkâ to the main area is really more of a hike and is confusing and strenuous, especially with luggage. I was very close to changing hotels, even without a refund, because Iâd really wanted a âresortâ experience. Iâd stay elsewhere!
