The house was a good deal. The original listing was switched due to poor scheduling on the management team. We were told the house we originally leased was not available so they switched us at the last minute. (Like we would say no three days before we were flying out to Hawaii) The location was great. The house was a great value for the money. We would stay there again for sure!
This is the property I originally booked and the host emailed and said I was on their calendar. The next day I received an email stating there was a mix-up with the calendar and it was no longer available. I reached out to the host and never heard a word back from them, but I began receiving emails from âRental Advisorâ never quite sure if they were legit or not. They said they could move us to another similar property in the same area for the same price. All VRBO communication show these photos, of the original booking, which makes me think whether this may have been a bait and switch. Seems like they might double book and then send you to a different property. The property we stayed in was fine, but not nearly as nice as the original one and should have been offered at a cheaper price. It also had lots of rules like placing all food scraps in provided ziplock bags, lots of check out procedures and had people living in the basement that was not disclosed until we received the check in information. Info stated the people in the basement would let the host know if the rules and quiet hours were broken. The location was good and sits in a local neighborhood and had very close access to the Polynesian cultural center, BYU campus and north shore area to explore. The botanical gardens was an easy drive and gorgeous! The whole situation and booking was very strange and we will not book with this host again.
We really enjoyed our stay here, the location is perfect and the home was clean, comfortable, and had lots of room for our large group of 8. The only reason we couldnât give a perfect score was a few maintenance issues, like running toilets, one room with an unusable fan, and the kitchen sink sprayer that would jam on. All minor issues, we would definitely stay here again!
Check in was easy. Loved waking to the beach and the grocery store. Plenty to do on the north shore with pretty easy access - traffic is always a guess.. we loved that there were beach items for our use and a nice big patio AND lanai - I wish we had spent more time on that lanai!
Unfortunately after booking this property, I was informed that the owner needed these dates. I was switched to another property for the same price but not nearly as nice, though it was OK for the 10 days we visited Oahu. It felt like a "bait and switch" rental. Sorry we were not able to stay at this property. We did enjoy our time in Laie for the quiet and all the numerous and close opportunities.
This property was in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, which was a short walk from two beaches. The house had plenty of space, a very well equipped kitchen, and a whole closet of beach supplies. Our party of eight had a wonderful time staying in this beautifully decorated house. Our every need was met here. Highly recommend!
We had 14 people in our family and we all fit comfortably in this home. It was clean and well-equipped. Nadia, our contact, responded immediately to each request. The location was perfect for our desire to explore the North Shore, Waimea as well as Waikiki. Quiet neighborhood, grocery nearby, no complaints whatsoever. Only thing is we wanted to stay longer, and that's a good thing. Thank you Nadia and all the staff!!
If youâre looking for the perfect location, this is it. Next to PCC, 15 minute drive to Waimea, 5 minute walk to beach. The house was roomy enough for everyone. We enjoyed the lanai every night and morning. Washer and dryer were a plus. It had plenty of beach equipment and beach towels. The outdoor shower needed a little TLC, but got the job done. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Overall, this was a great stay for us. We would stay again.
