„The location was great. It is central to a lot of fun family-friendly locations: Whiteface Mtn and all the Olympic attractions. The house is small, but cozy. The air conditioning struggled a little to reach the downstairs bedroom. All of the other amenities were fantastic. “

„We stayed here as our son was competing in the Lake Placid Ironman. This location was perfect. Short drive to Lake Placid. The property was exactly as described and even better in person. It's cute and cozy. The Jay area is beautiful and would love to come back and hike in the area, as the cabin is close to many trail heads(short drive, under 15 minutes) Shannon's communication was outstanding! „We had a wonderful stay at the Thompson's cabin. The house was clean and comfortable. As others have mentioned there are steep stairs down to the dock and up to the master bedroom loft, but that didn't bother us. The water is about 5.5' deep off the dock and we swam every day. At the time of our stay there was a two person kayak, a one person kayak, a small sit-on-top kayak, and a large paddle board. There are a handful DVDs to watch. We had limited internet on our T-mobile phones, enough to ...

„Great cabin, very responsive and kind hosts, great location. We stayed for a long weekend with two little kids- great location for hiking and sight seeing. The kids loved the hot tub and loft area. The only suggestion I would have for families with kids is to bring a gate, the stairs are steep. Otherwise we had a great time. Will definitely re-book!“

„This cabin was tucked away from the main road, giving a good balance of privacy and easy accessibility to lots of hiking options. Check in was super easy, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and while small, the shower offered great water pressure from its wide shower head. The deck was great for doing yoga on and the washer/dryer was convenient. We loved getting ice cream from the place down the street!“

„What a great trip we had in Lake Placid. The house was great and the location was beautiful. Very close to the lake with a nice front deck and covered porch at the front as well. It was also just a few minutes from town and stores. Very short walk to a marina for boat tours and kayaking and small swimming area at the lake. HIGHLY recommend!“

„Cozy, cute, comfy, private, and tranquil indeed. Didn’t want to stay in busy Lake Placid, which was not too far for me. The sauna and hot tub were a huge plus. 5 stars for two nights. If more nights, it probably would be a 4 star for me because it was not really roomy for me, a big guy. The host communicated and responded well. You can use hosts’ two small kayaks and enjoy paddling in Mirror Lake!“

"Das Cambria Hotel war das schönste auf unserer 4-wöchigen Reise durch die Neu-Englandstaaten. Das lag vor allem an den herzlichen Mitarbeitern (vom Hotel-Manager David angefangen) über die Leute an der Rezeption und im Restaurant. Zudem hat das Hotel einige Annehmlichkeiten, die deutlich über dem Durchschnitt liegen. (Laundry, Innenpool, Restaurant-Terrasse mit schönen Möbeln, Kajaks und Tretboote zum Ausleihen und einer schönen Aussenanlage am See mit Feuerstellen) Wir haben uns in dem schönen, recht großzügigen Zimmer mit Pantry, mit Ausblick auf die Berge und dem tollem Badezimmer sehr wohl gefühlt. Von uns gibt es eine Empfehlung für Lake Placid für dieses Hotel."
